Wondering if anyone else has received a warning of copyright infringement from their internet service provider?
Apparently HBO notified them that my IP address was used to watch Game of Thrones. A show I never watch by the way.
Could it be someone else in my household using their device that did it and how do I protect my anonymity .
Thx

These warnings have been reported by other members and nothing has been done so I would just ignore it.

What VPN do you recommend and how does it work? is
https://www.softether.org a good one? Will it mask my Traffic from my provider? Do I download VPN Bridge?

I would use one of this:

Check in reddit ]
https://m.reddit.com/r/vpncoupons if any of them has a good coupon code. Private Internet Access is one of those recommended by many people

If you got a letter than you are probably not streaming and using the plugin that is being used is using P2P to get the show which basically is using torrent which can be tracked. Normally the shows are files that are stored by the content provider and these content providers are not the content owners such as openload and so on.

I use torguard, special servers for torrents only - stealth servers - secure DNS - no speed throttling - $60USD for the year
there are plenty of options out there, Google is your best friend use him :)

Like someone else mentioned, you likely received notice due to peer2peer, not because you streamed from a iptv service.

so reading the OP.. simply using a vpn on your device will not stop someone else in your house from torrenting without using a vpn..what you would have to do is.. a. dont let them on your wifi.. change your password.. dont it to them.b. get a vpn AND get a router capable of running ddwrt and connect to that router to your VPN.. Then anyone connecting to said router would be protected by the vpn.
