Thoughts on fire stick

Hey guys been looking to get a firestick for a while but the prices that people are asking are outrageous so I figured I would buy one from amazon and set it up myself. I hear a lot of people saying the the 2nd Gen has problems with video acceleration but first gen dosent. Just want to know if that really effects the over all experience and if it's worth getting one. I'm looking to use it for kodi and the iptv stalker addons with Nfps any help is much appreciated.

Been testing one that I borrowed from a friend seems to be working good ... video seems better than my gbox q >:(

Have you had any issues with kodi crashing when you try and populate the gude?

yes.. low ram issue.. u need to us the 24 hour xml file only, disable provider epg... try a low resource skin as will such as mimic or arctic zephyr
