What is the IPTV reset option for?

Is this to wipe out the server settings so we can start fresh? (Same as deleting and re-adding MAC)
I've seen some posts about users doing this to also find out that their Donation days left also went to Zero so I'm scared to push that button. I need to change my Provider Guide settings.

That's probably correct. You can only do this 3 times in a day, though, as you will get a message if you exceed that. I don't like that, but apparently it stresses the authentication server, or it may be a security hole.
