change image size?

Is there any way to change the image size to fit the whole screen for certain channels?

The UK channels all fit the whole screen but none of the American ones do. I realise this may be a ridiculous question and I apologise if so, but I don't really know an awful lot about this kind of thing. :confused:

I should've mentioned, running Kodi on Amazon Fire TV.

to set permanent and for it to not interfere with the default zoom setting go to:
system->display->playback, locate 'display 4:3 videos as" and set it to 'stretch 16:9'.

Will that change it affect all the videos in Kodi or only the PVR channels?

unfortunately all videos and live tv kodi sees as 4:3, so real 4:3 will also stretched :/

the new linear mode was otherwise implemented to view 4:3 stretched more and more from the inside out, to make 4:3 not look stretched, but obviously we cant use this mode to properly stretch wrong a detected aspect ratio.

i dont dont know if this new mode is something for you or you prefer real 4:3 and how often you view real 4:3
but if you do not watch much real 4:3 you can use z when viewing it instead and either choose real 4:3 or the new linear mode i believe its call wide zoom when pressing z. i have no idea what how replaygain got in there as far as i know its a audio setting. heh
