I hate to use my first post with a stupid question, but I have read so much my eyes are about to bleed. I was in the process of purchasing service, just a month to check it out... anyways... At the purchase screen, it says mac (optional). Being as I have never did this, do they assign me a specific mac address if leave this blank? Also awesome forum, really knowledgeable people on here. Have learned allot in my reading frenzy. Thanks in advance for the help and apologies for the dumb question, I am sure has been asked a hundred times.

you can leave that blank for now and once you receive your code you can use the website to link a MAC to your code.
The MAC comes from your IPTV receiver or can be a generated MAC if using a pvr client

Even if they do, all you need to do is to change it. Just use your route number in the route checker, and you can modify what ever they might assign you.

Thank you both for the fast reply. Just trying to setup up firestick and play around.. The mac I link to code, would be the mac in my firestick network settings? correct?

No, you do have to do some reading. The MAC starts with 00:1A:78: and ends with 3 hex groups using what ever you wish, like 12:AB:99, and you'll get that instruction when you in the route checker. The rule is different for MAGs or AVOVs.

Sorry, Just realized what I asked... All that info is from my network, duh. Guess what I was concerned with was conflicting a mac with an existing mac assigned to another user. By making one up. But you are right, OFF to do some more reading.
