New to IPTV - Why am I missiung so many channels?

I am new to IPTV - I am using Kodi and a couple differnet IPTV addons, I see that Fox Sports 1 and MAV TV are in the channel lists on this forum, but I can only seem to access Fox SPorts 1 and I don't see MAV TV listed in my IPTV addons or half of the channels that are listed here for that matter

Can someone point me in the right direction here> I don't mind reading if that's what I need to do, as long as someone can steer me where I need to go.

Welcome.

I'm not sure what channel list are you referring to, but the one that is posted in the sticky in this forum has never had MAV TV on it. You may have seen a list of projected channels in the initial rollout for the IPTV service, but those are far from current.

Sorry, I was referring to http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?12130-IPTV-Channel-List-as-of-January-31-2016 it has channel 161 listed as MAV TV , is this list not valid for NFPS ROCKET IKS66 etc?

I was also looking at this channel list "other place" , but since I stumbled across this forum this site seems to be possibly a bit sketchy? ANd I am going to Stick to eith NFPS ROCKET or IKS66 once I make a decision, probally IKS66 so I can try for a month.

Am I incorrect in believing MAV TV will be available on channel 161 ?

My bad... and MAV TV on 161 does work for me. The second list that you linked... (and I'll remove) is not an official list. (In fact, there is no official list... thegame15's is a list by his observation.)

Ok thankyou for clarification - my bad for posting that other link - it was just to be used as comparison. The confirmation of MAV TV makes me excited :) Ever since we lost SPEED TV on Sat in Canada - we have no where to turn to for motorsports TV programs.
