Two huge sucky companies joining together to form a bigger huge sucky company. Prices go up as a result.

This is old bad news. Let's hope the government doesnt approve the sale. Comcast has the worst customer service record of all companies of there type. Price and limitations will only get worse

Not to long ago one of my relatives received a new modem from Time Warner same as the one Comcast uses so they most likely will go through.

With comcast you can use your own modem if is compatible, and if you use their you pay a rental fee for it, i never understood why people would rent one from them if its a lot cheaper on your monthly bill to just buy one.

Yes you can but some of the modems they have on there list based on my experience become wall gardened but that's why i went with fios.

I have timewarner and I provide my own modem.....because they to charge a rental fee if you use theirs............But as of now Timewarner does not have a bandwidth Cap,,,,Now with Comcast merger I'm sure that will change.....Right now I pay 14.99 a month for internet.........download speed is 5 MBPS

Time Warner, $35/mo and 50/5 MBPS. They charge $7/modem rental, so I sold my old modem and bought a new Docsis 3 modem. I'm very happy with TW for internet. Uverse is a nightmare to use for home theater stuff. I hate it with a passion.
Costco carries a good cheap docsis modem.

Uverse extremely bad in my experience. Comcast, FIOS and TW so far I would use in the US. IMHO
