Mode not supported

Can anyone tell me why I get this message ...mode not supported....when I try to hook up my mag254 on to my Samsung 46" TV? I have tried everything 😢

Mode button on the remote. You may have to use the rca cable to get a setting that will work.

Thank you..Now I have sound, but message that says... Output mode mismatch.please change devices video output to SD mode or use HDMI output
