Setting up my mag254

I have recently learned that entering your username and password won't take affect until Feb 1st. I have had my information 5 days now and am still not enjoying tv. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. On my Samsung 46" tv..I get the mode not supported message... I changed the resolution, and it didn't go away. On my older much older tv, I entered all the info required and all it did was show a blue screen with a bar type thing looking like something was loading, but it never stopped... Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a mag254 ☺️
