MAG 254 - Do you leave it permanently turned on?

As title really..

My MAG 254 gets quite warm/hot and wondered what the general consensus is. Do you guys leave your box permanently turned on? Is it safe?

I always shut mine off when not using it. Why run up the power bill any more than needed? :)

It appears that there is some kind of a timer as they seem to drop back to the main menu after a few hours on the same channel.

Mine usually goes to sleep after a few hours. I never turn it off except when it freezes up which has been a handful of times and I've owned it for almost a year.

I leave mine on 24/7 on the main screen when not in use, however have to reboot/unplug from time to time due to "connection error". I don't mine leaving it on 24/7, not streaming and the power costs can't be more than 10cents in a month.
