I don't use firefox so I really cant answer as to why you don't see it but I do know for a fact that IE does have it.

You wont see that box once you are logged in, you can only see the box when logged out.

Thanks for the info, you are correct I noticed that from an old XP laptop computer and I had to find another way to check on remember me when I clicked on reply and I wasn't logged IN and I did see the remember me option ... thanks

I'd like to suggest a separate section for smart tv brands for use and ideas, just like the section for different STBs.

For EX: I can use my USB Mac keyboard on my Samsung Smart TV, instead of having to buy a Samsung keyboard. If your a PC person, you can find old Mac keyboards at many thrift shops for a song.

Not sure why there would be one since at this time we don't support it for Rocket IPTV service. I don't think it can be used for anything else other then that like the MAG250 but as asft stated, if you have issues with your Roku box AND ASSUMING THAT ITS NOT ANOTHER PROVIDER ISSUE then you can post it there.

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard it works well but no mouse ball on it...just the mouse pad wish it had a ball on it.

The minix A2 remote works on all boxes to. Tried it on all my xbmc boxes here...I like that remote...fits nice in the hand flip it over and has keyboard...has a speaker and mic on it to.

Just go Samsung app, and you see an icon IPTV and gives you 7 days trial ... as far as Android, I don't know of they don't support that ...may be in the future ..

I have a Panasonic Smart Viera Tv which I bought in the States, brought home to Canada. I discovered the software installed was a US version with Apps and such that relate to US websites. After going into the menu and setting up the wireless network connection, a software agreement came up which stated the software used is licensed and I would have to agree to the terms within this agreement to use this software. I decided to read the agreement, discovered they were able to access, monitor and use whatever information that was collected by this Smart Tv and use, sell or distribute it to whomever, wherever they pleased. Needless to say, I declined to agree. I went to the Panasonic website, downloaded the latest software they had for my model, unzipped it and copied the latest version to a USB stick and used it to update my Smart Tv.

Actually they just put one together, it's called IPTV. I'm thinking of one loaded with a usb stick made but the guys here.

I think it might be a little too early for this type of section but I do feel that eventually a classified section where members can buy and sell and trade STB boxes could be a good idea of course people would do dealings at their own risk and the forum would not be held accountable if someone decided to try and take advantage of another member but hopefully that would not happen.

Forum is always held responsible eventually and someone always gets ripped off. It's a difficult thing to do, sell to strangers on faith with no repercussions for a bad deal. And to boot, I don't want to give my personal info to strangers, there's a safety concern.

Yea I guess you guys make some great points regarding there is sadly always that few group of members that try and take advantage of the members then the admin get unneccesary private messages so I can understand why it is a bad idea. It would be nice to see a section on IPTV STB Emulators divided into 3 divisions: Android based, Windows Based, and Linux Based. I would also like to see a section for Kodi-XBMC emulators. Once the kinks get worked out of the emulators, I would imagine there would be a huge demand for subs so that folks could use IPTV on their Laptops and Tablets. Just an idea..... Thanks

Some great ideas there.
We are expecting to do some site upkeep soon and those things you've mentioned are on the 'master list' of things to do.
And as a matter of fact, you helped clear up something which was how to separate the emulators into sub groups.
What you have said is so simple and may be how they should be separated.

As it stands now, the Kodi forum area may have to be expanded.
The main Kodi area is strictly for official Kodi news.
There is also a sub forum too (Files and Fixes), which can be looked at for many things Kodi.

Maybe a Kodi discussion area sub forum added will top that off nicely.

An APPs only area is being looked at too, so all the APP discussions can be in one area.
Many things are being looked at by administration and all new ideas are good to hear.

If users could upload the file with a brief description then use other discussion areas to ask questions and make comments , I think we would be more organized. :)

Before logging in go to the bottom of the page & use the Quick Style Chooser to select Default Style, which will give you a white login backround. After you log in it will default back to Defraction Blue Fluid unless, when logged in you go to Settings, General Settings & scroll down to Miscellaneous Options & change Forum Skin to Default Style & save changes.

Rule of thumb is the top sticky is the good one then it goes down the list. Find what you need in a sticky some times is hard so reading the daily post is a better way to keep up.

I think it would help to review all the stickies with an eye towards combining them into guides for each platform and eliminating outdated ones. I for one have a very hard time finding information that applies to my problems or telling if it does. When there is a change in the service it would be nice for one of the mods to post whats happening, if we need to make changes on our end or just wait.

Back before NAG3 I used to test charlie and bev. I was a member of several forums and some of them had a banner or a box on the homepage that showed box keys or if there was an ECM, just information that everyone that was testing would want. I think it would be a good idea to do that here. It would help the mods from having to answer 500 posts about the same thing.

" What happened everything was fine and now I get this".

Just a banner or a box to report things such as;

"Server Maintenance Please Wait" or
"Client setup requirements changed: see here".

I think this would relieve a lot of the frustration felt by the sites users and help reduce un-needed posts.

I reset my MAC the day before the order# was required and had no issues on the Mac I use for my Shield.

Then I go the next day to do the same on another MAC and they have order# and it took me a day to get that number and after trying that route, I'm all jacked up on that MAC w/ resetting etc.. I've got an AvovFuse coming and now I'm worried I may have to go purchase another IPTV service and I don't want to do that. I want to stay with this service especially since I've invested and paid $100+ dollars.

Now I feel as if that was a waste of money which is not something I do throwing $100 bills in the trash can.

Really frustrated. I know everyone is working hard though and I greatly appreciate it I really do and this isn't a gripe message. Just a way to let you guys know how some of us are feeling. I know your work is free and I would gladly pay for a subscription to this site if I had to help support the mods.

My biggest frustration is I've got like 10 different pages open trying to sift through everything and read as much as you can but its dang near overwhelming to keep all those different pages open. It's like I will read one thing then the day it's obsolete and I'm told to now go to this forum and sticky and do this and that. I just can't keep up.

What if there was a masterlist sticky where all the links are displayed that show where to go during all these issues. It would be up to date and when issues like what's going on with the MACs having issues resetting at papiao.is, the EPG guide issues, the username/password issue, there could be a masterlist and always the most recent answer or direction by the mods could be given there.

My head is spinning. I counted last night and I have 12 pages open and I truly try to read everything first before asking a mod/someone who knows a question.

Like I said, please don't take this as me complaining. I appreciate what everyone is doing here to fix all the problems.

I am constantly in the forum sections and going thru 100s of threads just to keep things in order.
I will many times find some good current info and will Sticky that, or in some way bring it to attention.
For the most part we try and post Sticky threads with current info.

It is not an easy thing to do as you ask. I have spent countless hours keeping the forums in order. I have read damn near every thread on these boards for that purpose. In doing so I find myself into alot of work aside from what my initial intention was to be.
The information needed to know in this IPTV thing or in Kodi or whatever it may be is abundant. Every day brings new things.
We rely on our members to post in correct fashion and that does not always happen, so there I go with another full night of reading a massive amount of posts and threads in hopes of keeping things in order.
If it was a forum where only staff coiuld make posts then it would be a forum with nothing out of order and only relevant info would be posted and upkept daily.
But that is a fantasy world. We do have members and them members have good info to be posted.
We try and keep this in order and that will never stop, but neither will the influx of info.

Guys, I suggest that with time write specific instructions of how to operate each of every iptv box that available thru your website, like for instance I have a vixo 2 and do not know how to do many things, like accessing or operate kodi or vod or games, every time I try any of that I get frustrate, or for instance how to reboot box, ect. by having specific I am sure you will make much attraction to the system. thanks :)

most of what you are asking is related to the addons not the box. Go to your market or store (on the vixo2) to add what ever is in the store click on it and fallow instructions. Use the search on the site to find what you need

I do not believe that now is a good time to make significant changes to IPTV Talk. I however do agree that the site is very hard to use. I realize it might not seem that way to some, especially to those that have experience with other forums. Oh by the way the search on the site is one of the poorest I have ever seen. Attention Moderators: Looks like the Status Update thread is getting updated sooner than later which is great but would it be possible to get a hold of Papiao and kindly ask them to update you/us guys ahead of time of when they plan on doing maintenance/changes on the system?
I don't think their native language is English but it would be nice of them to give us heads up.

Plus, if you guys aren't aware, looks like they just did a database restore and I know this because I had changed my MAC a few days ago and my channels are not loading for me now, so I logged into my Donation site to do an IPTV Reset and noticed that the site is back to my original MAC so as you can deduce from this, will cause a lot of users systems to not work due to being setup with the incorrect MAC in their configurations if users had also changed their MAC over the last few days.
I am currently getting Unable to load channels so either they must still be doing stuff or now I need to do an IPTV Reset.

i invest in a router vpn , to be safe and chose my own vpn.

i suggest everybody on iptv to hide behind a vpn is very easy to a provider to see where you connect and know who use iptv.

Since we can't record, I'd like to suggest a subsection.

Often we have trouble watching some of our favorite Pay Station shows, like Game of Thrones, so I'd like to suggest a section for watching past TV programs.

If your any good at online stuff and have a Roku or another STB and know how to find what you want, pretty much everything past and present is easily found, but for the tech challenged it would be so much easier to have it available here.

I remember the TV show dedicated channels we had for awhile, but having a server that allows us to chose our show from the entire range of a series would be really nice.

For the MAG you can use the browser and try 123movies.to... Other than something playing from a web browser yow are kind of SOL on MAG.

By the way I use kodi always for those shows the HD content is usually up 1 hour after airing.

it is kinda ironic that supaman is asking about avov in specific and their market place with the apps they have. When in fact them apps all can be found and did originate as apps or addons for a kodi system.

What avov did supaman, is gather some apps and put them on their server for avov users, that way things were and are a bit faster with certain things concerning them apps (add-ons).
There are ways to do that yourself with an avov and apk files, but that is another story :)

So in fact, any Kodi system will get all them avov apps and any and all the rest that the avov market place does not have.
But, the avov also has Kodi abilities, so any Kodi app can be had thru an avov anyway :)

U gotta find a simpler way for them to watch tv..that was my ultimate goal when I wrote the post..u know when dealing with low IQ people that wanna watch tv. Sometimes with kodi u have to flip through 6 or 7 pages to find what u want..I was being specific with avov because those are my primary boxes that I use.. I don't know where the apps come from and all of that.. I have a 12 hr job. Don't have time to do much history on it

I agree on that part. Until I was faced with my current issue that made it where I needed to add apps.. I have the Avov online 4 at my house.. and I was faced with the no volume issue . I did a factory reset and put all of my info back in. The volume issue was repaired but all of my movie apps was gone. Even in marketplace. Movie 25, 1channel, all of those are gone. That's why I wanted to add apps on the Avov.. those apps was on the box in marketplace when I got it. They all disappeared. . Even the movie apps in kodi.. So I was trying to troubleshoot that issue to hopefully improve what I have..

How about consolidating an up to date tutorial and make it available for new customers who have limited knowledge of configuring your service? As for now the entire process is tiresome. As I cram to understand the concepts behind this service it's clear that the information here has gotten out of control. I'm watching videos and reading posts of what seems to be outdated stalker client/epg ninja/stalker nfps/iptv stalker plus etc... One thing is clear the service is erratic as hell without any reason. I get authentication failed errors and ID mismatch errors on an android device however I can still watch the programming after starting and re starting the stalker client. On another android using the same exact configurations I can't get past authentication failed. Same thing when using a PC. The only consistent addon that works on all devices using the same config is Stalker Plus. At this point I don't think I'm the problem as your servers seem to have some inherit issues. How about just telling your users what device works flawlessly with your service so I can actually enjoy the service instead of spending my free time trying to brute force a service I'm paying for? I'll even buy a dish and receiver for IKS if it will end my configuration nightmares. A co worker witnessed me spending several days on several devices with different outcomes and associated errors.. No way am I going to convince him that this is the next best thing to moms apple pie. I just need "clear" solutions not a trip to multiple threads that may or may not even fix anything. This makes using card readers back in the DTV days or configuring Emunation child's play compared to what I've been going through getting IPTV Rocket/EPG up and running.

have set-up this service on multiple devices for friends whether it's kodi using pvr satlker or stalker plus or mag's or pc's and found no real issues in following the posted instructions for each method along with ********** guide which is currently working as well, the service works and very good imo but of course there are exceptions of some channels down or some ch buffer but for the most part it works well for approx 22 cents/day ur ponying up to use it, don't know where your problem lies but would bet it is in the configuration part of the process, many factors to consider when troubleshooting something like this because of all the variables involved, be patient and more than likely you will get it going as everyone does sooner or later

Dells that is some of the best and realistic advice I've heard so far. I pretty much have gotten past most errors on any device through a method of patience/trial and error. After following others advice and tutorials it was clear that what works for some won't work for others. After enabling epg ninja and allowing it to configure the pvr clients I began to notice the serial and device Ids were being populated for me. This method produced no errors whatsoever and it didn't matter what MAC address scheme I used. Now that I have a better understanding of what's required I now get to deal with the delemias brought up in your post about freezing and non working channels. The service has lots of moving parts that can create issues such as the recent epg failures. Now that my configuration woes have been concurred the server seems to be down. Just think what others can get for just 22 cents per day lol

In the Kodi section of the forum under the EPG guide section, I would suggest splitting the section into two parts. One for newbe guide and stalker setups and second section for experienced guide users with issues. ie :guide down, missing guide data for certain channels etc.

Maybe a forum setup like you have for the Channels forum. Thumbs up, thumbs down.

Site has grown in number of posts and replies and stickies. Some of the stickies have outdated data such as server addresses and and links to software that is obsolete, Psycon comes to mind. All that is needed is a continually updated setup guide for each device and each of the 3 servers. For example I searched for an hour before I found a post with the server address for NFPS server 3. All of the old outdated stuff needs to be deleted or archived.

This is annoying.

I have to click "last" to view the latest replied posts.

Is there anywhere in settings so I can set it to view the most recent postings first instead of having to click "last" each time to view them ?

If I am expecting a recent reply to my long thread I wish to see the latest posts first not the earliest posts.

Yeah gotcha772, but If you are set up to be logged in automatically those will never show up AFTER you check the remember me box. So if you didn't get it the first time you won't. I don't accept anything but session cookies so I have to log in every time I go anywhere and the check mark goes away after I close the last site page of the session.

I think the site should have an option to save the password, most of forum sites have check mark to save the password ... also it will be nice if we have a " thank you" or "like" on reply to question ...
I agree that it would be nice to have a way to save passwords on the site, as well as a way to show appreciation for helpful replies. I think that these are both great suggestions that would improve the experience of using the site.

We stopped using the 'Like' option many years ago as it is a bit of a site security risk.
But there is a User Reputation option. It should be just below where you see the member's name and join Date and Post Count and etc... it's the icon shaped like a star

Recently, I have learned that The 'Like' option is a site security risk because it can be used to track a user's activity on the site. The User Reputation option is a better way to track a user's activity because it is not tied to a specific user.

Something I would like to see is more participation in conversations where issues are reported.

For example:
If a user is reporting an issue it often goes days with no response. Having something as simple as "We are looking in this" will help.
If a site mod/admin make an announcement saying that something is down, it will nice to see a follow up when that issue has been fixed.

@popeye can you be more specific about " we are looking into this " , a lot of the times the answers are blended/mixed into threads . searching sometimes can be a task be most of the time you'll find that whatever question(s) you've asked usually gets answered a few times to be honest .

@nob0dy, I do agree with you on that. The forum is full of very useful information and there are times when members ask the same questions over and over before trying to search the forum themselves. I know there are a bunch of active users and it is hard for the admin/support/mod team to catch every single thing. Also, I believe users should help where and how they can because that's what make the a community stronger.

I was mostly referring to the Channel Reports and Announcements part of the forum where it is normal to see threads with 100+ views but never get acknowledged.
Like I said above there are times when users post without checking IPTV Talk News & Announcements and they complaint about something not working but it has been a known issue. Something I noticed is that most of the time even those Announcements are not followed up on.

For Example: When users make a report about X Channel is down. I noticed most of the time the threads get hundreds of view but no response or acknowledgement at all. What I meant by "We are looking into this" is having someone from the support team add a comment to let the user know whether they have already informed the service support team or if this is a known issue or something along those lines. Doing so will improve the user experience IMO. Just my 2 cents.

And to be fair, it is something that I've seen @crazed 9.6 do a few times. Crazed has left comments alone the lines of "Email X directly for that channel". I do want to give Crazed and the rest of support team credit for that. Maybe a better solution is having this information in a pinned thread or something.

Here's the thing about Channel issue reports... They generally do not get seen by any members of the papiao team, the team includes NFPS, Rocket and iptv66.

This is why you may see me sometimes post a response when a member reports a channel and it seems very important to that member to have that channel working (maybe a important futbal match is about to happen or something like that), that is when I post and let the member know to send in an email direct to papiao. I do this to help the member get the best chance at a fix for the channel, before it's too late.

Other times there will be a member seemingly upset about a channel issue, this is when I also inform them to email papaio and in that case I do tis so we do not have the negative remarks on our forums, in other words, I do this for myself (and the site) so I do not have to deal with angry people and nor should we be expected to :)

Other times the channel reports are left alone. I can not offer any answers or ETA or even let you know that the administration is on it. If I did contact the administration every time there was a channel issue I would have no time for anything else and the administration would soon stop opening my emails after receiving 10 a day or what ever it may be.

Now you may ask then why even allow channel issue reports at all ??

Answer is partly answered above (with the emergency situation type thing) and also if there are active reports and then others can see the report and that indeed the issue is not isolated to them selves only. So it turns into a kind of info report, more then anything.

Sometimes the papiao team will make an announcement about reasons why a group of channels may at the time be having issues, but seldom if ever at all will they address just one individual channel report.

If a channel is particularly wanted and is messed up, I will try an let the team know about that, but I can not keep up on that with any regularity (that's just how it is) :eek:

There would also be the known issues and we do try in bringing them announcements here.
We even like our members to bring the announcement (Rinny brought the last one), its a team work kinda thing here at iptvtalk, or a least I'd like to think it is and hope it would be :)

Now I am not saying to stop channel reports, if I thought that then there would not be a sub-forum here on site for the reports :eek:

And the reports do serve a purpose or two.... one, is that it helps others to see if there are issues ... and two, I will always try and tell a member who is reporting an issue which is important (even just to that one individual), I will tell them about the best way to get results, which is that email thing.

Remember too that if any angry reports, I will also tell them to email papiao too but for different reasoning, and may even close that particular thread or post, for reasons mentioned above.

And there is also at times when a Papiao tech will do some upgrading in maybe the TV Series group for instance and knowing what Series or episodes may not be working helps with that.

Also if see a channel report and think that the channel is working and then check and indeed it is, then i can report tat to the member, that rarely happens thou as the members are usually all the time correct with their reports.
