As it's a private server, I'd see no reason. Doubt they'd keep much of a log besides tracking donations\macs. There's no trackers or "bad peers" like you'd expect with torrents, so I wouldn't worry about it.

You can use a VPN however i have found significant freezing when using a VPN.

If you like your privacy, and Download Movies, It's a good idea to get a VPN, as it Encrypts all data down loaded, But Slows you down some as Encrypting data is being processed by Computers and Processors Take a little more time, if you don't want to be Questioned by your internet service provider on what you are downloading or get Fined for what you are downloading, or want to protect your Privacy for Many other reason's, Get yourself a VPN.

I would get a VPN, I never Go online with out it , weather it's on my PC of Cell Phone, VPN is always on. Also get yourself a VPN that is not in your Country and doesn't share information with the Country you live in, Make sure it supports Several VPN Security Connections without any DNS Leaks, and it has an auto shutdown Feature of Programs you use incase your VPN Accidently Disconnects you , Other wise your IP will be exposed once your VPN is Disconnected. VPN while downloading movies and streamining is a great idea to protect your privacy; however using a VPN while using rocket iptv has caused significant freezing issues for me. Just an FYI if you notice a lot of freezing when using rocket iptv combined with a VPN. It's not the rocket iptv service, it's the VPN connection that is causing the freezing.
