help! 254 remote control switched off in settings

Hi I lost my remote control (to the dog) for my mag254. I have been using the app for iOS but have just bought a new universal remote. Stupidly I turned off remote control in settings and surprise surprise I cannot now connect to the box at all! what do I do?
