hey...here is something to pass along in hopes to help the community

if you are connecting to this service via kodi?

take these in mind to help reduce buffering issues for your community members

so, like if you are NOT actually watching a program "live" b/c you are not home or are doing other stuff or watching a show via another addon (kodi)? it would be nice to disconnect from the servers altogether

maybe you are thinking its too much hassle? all you need to do is go to your settings and turn off the LIVE tv and this will disconnect you from server..as long as anyone leaves the LIVE TV on? even if they are not watching (streaming a channel) they are STILL connected to the server

and then you simply go back to turn on LIVE TV once you want to stream a live channel from nfps/rocket and the list will load again ...guys, these only take seconds to do..think about it

and see if you can get used to doing this as this will help reduce unnecessary traffic to their servers and of course the buffering

just a thought guys - cheers

I shut off my avov box before I go to sleep and before I leave the house. I do so both to save the servers unnecessary strain as well as to reduce my overall data usage.

I'm technically limited to about 500gb a month and although Iptv barely makes a dent and I've never come close to hitting my limit, I try to keep unnecessary data usage to a minimum.

Hello, good idea, but .... isn't it possible to setup some kind of a timeout on the server side?

If it's not streaming a channel (assuming it is connected to the server if you press the Stop button, which I haven't tested, but am kind of doubting it), it wouldn't waste noticeable bandwidth i would figure, likely just the X mins epg update, which is from a separate server anyways.

I've always experienced a timeout after 3 hours of watching. I have to change to another channel and back. Is this not the case for everyone?
