can I use one donation for 2 boxes..........one at the time I mean.....and ill be using the same mac address for both boxes...is this going to work.

One at a time = yes
Same MAC address = no

Them avovs have their own dedicated MACs, each is different.
You'd have to change the MAC at the search donation site each time you switch receivers.
Pretty fast and simple to do thou.

I am having a problem installing my donations. I am doing it correctly. I installed donations on 2 other boxes the same day with no problem. I have 2 other boxes that would not connect to server. Mac addresses & donations are good, but they will not connect to server. I waited 10-15 minutes on each. Any suggestions?

yes, 2 boxes had no problem, 2 would not connect to server. I even tried changing servers. I checked the donations & mac addresses they are good, still no connection.

for many boxes use static if you know how dhcp for a few

I didn't understand your last statement asft. All my boxes are Avov TVonline+ and running dhcp.

he simply means you have your choice of running either...DHCP or Static for dns resolver

that can be the case for some, it's entirely up to you to try both. Some like to run static and use the google DNS of 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4, I personally just run DHCP myself and it works fine most of the time for me...:cool:

It could, but if your avov is able to access the internet now then that shouldn't be the problem. Launch the browser, market, etc and see if the box is connected to the internet... If it is, static vs dhcp isn't a concern.

me i run static but have 40 port hub but dhcp is fine for many stay with that
