When you reply to a post choose the go advanced screen, this gives more options to choose from. Make your reply then if any live links in post by hi-liting link (left clik held down while scrolling over link), then click the # symbol, this will give you a coded link, thks for your time.....K00l

been noticing when busy and lately we have been getting more and more live links from members. I would politely ask that we ALL follow the rules and code our links. There are sound reasons why rules are in place so please let's show some respect for them. Thanks, gang...

If you do make a mistake and post a live link, here's how you fix it when you edit your post

You will see the URL surrounded by tags in brackets like where "xyz" = "URL". You just change it to "CODE" between the brackets, and leave the slash alone in the second tag.

If you did it correctly, it will look like this:

my url here

Something else... please do not hyperlink an outside url to your posts. It does the same thing as pasting a live link. Of course, you don't have to worry about posting live links to other posts on the forums. The reason why we ask you not to post outside links is to help slow bad actors from tracking back to the site to cause havoc when someone clicks on that link, and also to protect you from malware that might be hosted on the linked url. It's also a clue to staff that a post might be spam that has to be removed, and to ban the spammer.
