mx2 and belkin router

I sold a mx2 to one of my friends ..he has cable modem and a belkin router ....when I had it here at my house ..I had cable modem and a Linksys router and I never did loose any connection on it ....I told him that it might be his router ..

routers do have a span of life and is usually around 5 years and then they start to go weak so it can be it or router and modem issues .
