Just got a major update on my TV Online +. The backgrounds are completely different for each option on screen, and the settings screen looks completely different. As far as functionality, I can not tell any difference yet. I was hoping for Nova middleware on this upgrade, but maybe this is a prelude to it.

I know it's backend, but now we are using Stalker and from what I have read Nova would give the AVOV group more flexibility. I am hoping this flexibility gives recording capability, and grided guide, the ability to remove the locks off the adult channels and keep the locks off (as currently they will reappear after reboot), the ability to save favorites and keep them in the list, etc. etc.. From what I have read Stalker is what is limiting greater user functions.

I believe it's how the provider(s) employ stalker or nova that limits these functions or at least some of them, thks..

Talked to a guy from Avov and he said the TV-online plus in a couple of weeks will have another update so you can search for apps through kodi....but will be deposited in the Micky Market.......It will divest themselves from any lawsuits for supplying Pirate movie links...............

Yep, I have had mine trying to update the last couple days but it only half loaded on boot. I went to system updates and found it there to install. Major update is right. Different screens and it looks like you can change wallpaper background. Will do so more playing around with it and see. New build is 1.0.6

Yeah, mine updated twice. There was a download then the android robot was on screen for a bit with the endohexotepotropigon spinning in his belly. The AVOV box rebooted and then immediately started a new download and began another update with android robot on the screen. I never got a chance to see what upgraded on the first go around.

Mine updated to 1.0.6 last week and to 1.0.7 today.

Been playing with it and except for the new look I can't find any difference in functionality.

I think favorites work now. I saved a few channels this am , shut off the box, and they were still favorited when I powered on the box this evening. Guess I'll find out if they stick around, but so far so good.

News to me. They wouldnt save on 1.04 or 1.05. Then 1.06 dropped I tried saving a few fav's. They survived a quick power cycle of the box, but were gone the next day. Didn't bother trying again until 1.07.

Looks like the new updates did nothing for keeping the locks on the adult channels off. I removed them all last night and this morning they are all back locked again.

Been running the Fuse as of late but I gotta get this old workhorse updated.
Such a great little box.
Avov is just "The Best" in my opinion....:)

See some nice improvements already. Wallpaper reset for one.
A Help Screen which should be handy for new users.

I got my AVOV TVOnline+ today and i'm trying to upgrade but it seems to download very slow. Is it like that or is it in my end?

Working fine here with NFPS, although some improvements would be appreciated in next upgrades: Pressing the "info" button to show what the channel is showing at a moment, a partial guide in the channel list (like Mag254), and put the "page" buttons (<< >>) to work, cuz scrolling every channel one on one its complicated.

It was 180MB file download for Plus version. Reason why it took long time, that was complete whole system file downloaded.
This is system update for preparing for NOVA, Only plus, Fuse has Full switching function from Nova to Stalker.
TVonline model will provide Nova solution as an app.

For this update, there is no difference as an function.

I have a Avov+ (red) and the current firmware is 1.0.5
I hear that it should be at 1.0.7 or higher. I have "factory reset" and "software update" and after download the TV online and installs I am still at 1.0.5
What should I do, how to upgrade?

I have the problem as digitall, firmware version 1.0.4. Did factory reset as well, updated through popup and still on 1.0.4. Check from system update saying no ota update.

I've had a few Online Plus and Online V2 all came with firmware version 1.0.5 and then I upgraded to 1.0.7 .....never saw any difference though.............Now I have 2 NEW Online V2 ...that have Firmware Version 1.0.5 ........But tells me there is no update Img when trying to update to version 1.0.7 ...........Maybe Avov took the Version 1.0.7 Down because it was not necessary...........................Or their update database is offline right now

My first online+ bought a month ago updated to 1.0.7. The second one i bought yesterday doesn't update from1.0.4 to 1.0.7. Is there a anyway i can find out if the box is ok or need to be returned

I noticed that Yesterday as well. I wanted to see if there were any updates since I haven't used the box in almost a week but it doesn't search at all on my Fuse.

Same thing with mine. It appears to download update but not install. After backing out of watching live tv it connects again to server. Weird.

There is alot of boxes that will not update.
Also some will have the date of 1970 no matter what you do.
Dont think there ota is up all the time. I know i have tried more than 20 times in last 2 days.

We all have high hopes for Nova; I have super high hopes (unrealistic hopes). I hope for a proper gridded TV guide, live TV recording capability, timer recording capability, the ability to hide unwanted channels from the main list, the ability to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit, the ability to navigate the VOD section via a working search, and/or individual page selection without scrolling page by page through hundreds of pages...... The list goes on and on......

Looks like the date and time issue has been solved with the new build. I switch no and off few times and also did the hard reboot and havent seen the date change.

I disagree. They are working out the bugs on the AVOV 4. Once it's worked out it should be released to everyone.

On a second note however, I feel the bugs should have been worked out prior to the release of the AVOV 4 to the public. Sony, LG, Panasonic, Magnavox, etc. etc., make sure their TV's, DVD/Bluray players, computers, etc. work before they hit the store shelves. There might be some minor software updates from time to time, but the overall software works prior to public sale release.

Yea mine went completely nuts yesterday doing weird stuff like when clicking market it pulled up the old mickyhop app store not the lastest market version.
Along with some other issues. Filed a claim with Avov to hopefully get a RMA number. Not real happy with all the updates either. Makes it to appear half baked like someone else stated before.

look i run 4k box 24/7 and watch many upscale 4k movie which to me is the bomb to do and a few true 4k ones too kodi is fast as heck and tvonlne works better then my fuse so to say this box is bad i got to say noway in heck and a few of my friends got a box to and they are very happy with it if truly there is something wrong with your box i know they will help and this section is for tvonline plus box and yes nova is coming just hold on they have so much on table to do and they are not a giant company give them time

I seem to remember you got your box before the initial release. You got a good one,maybe a prototype/sample. I was never able to see the 4k display setting that you speak about. Absolutely no option there on my box and from I read some others can't find it either.
I am back to using my online plus box and it works great, totally sable and same picture quality as the 4K box with rocket.

Look I have 4 of my friends that have boxes at all diffrent Times and they all are fine with 4k display it first 1080p then scroll down to 4k but again this is tvonline plus section not 4k so going to close this
