MAG254 Remove Parental Lock From Channel

1. Go to the portal
2. Go to 'TV'
3. Highlight the channel with the little lock icon on it.
4. Hit the 'APP' button on the remote & enter the parental lock code. This will remove an existing lock or add one that doesn't yet exist.

I am using stbemu to emulate the Mag254 on an Amazon Fire TV. The password box comes up on locked channels but Fire TV doesn't have numbers on the remote. I bring up the keyboard but can't navigate it to enter the password. Any help is appreciated or if you can direct me to where I can find the answers I would love it. Has anyone with the Fire TV box solved this issue?
