Hi I have a gbox q and it's great! I want to buy additional android boxes but gbox is a bit pricy now. Any powerful lower cost ones out there?

the M8 is decent and cheap. Amazon fire TV box or stick also work well if you want more of a premium box.. The AVOV boxes also work well.

Thanks I will look at those, a lot of reviews I read suggest anything less than 2gb RAM will struggle. Would you agree ? Or is 1gb sufficient for streaming ?

Look at the M8S box, it has a fast processor and 8g of Ram.

Look at the M8S box, it has a fast processor and 8g of Ram.That box has an 8gig flash not 8 gigs of ram lol..check out the MXIII box has a quad core cpu @ 2GHZ and an 8 core gpu with 2 gigs of ram..the MXIII is the fastest box i messed with this year and Amazon has em for 50 bucks...it runs kodi with a full build no problems...don't listen to anyone pushing fire sticks or anything with less than 2 gigs of ram

M8s is running a s812 processor while the mxIII is using a s802. M8s>MXIII as far as processor power and speed. I personally used to use MX4 boxes (instabox Phantom brand name) but have switched to M8s and they run Isengard real well. I agree with Sat-Junkie about the Firesticks, too limiting with not enough power nor memory

MXIII iis same thing as the M8 basically... (both do have octo core GPUs and quad core CPUs).. some box, different shell..
I would say get either the M8 or MXIII over the M8S, which only has 1gb of ram

Hey psycon, my M8s has 2gb of ram, depends which one you buy from the vendor. Yes i would only recommend 2gb of ram but there are several units that have 1gb and run Kodi fine like an Ouya box for example. the M8 and MXIII are a step down as far as processor goes, there are things the s812 can do that a s802 and s805 cannot. I do like the s812 processors for Kodi so whether you get a M8s or MX4 my recommendations are s812 processor and 2gb of ram.

Thanks all for the replies. 2G RAM and good processor will steer me clear of poor boxes thanks again!. Would it be worth getting ones with dual wifi 2.4/5ghz in case 3 devices stress out my broadband ?

I purchased 2 M8S from the site sponsors for friends and work pretty good so I would suggest M8S from our site sponsor.

mxIII 2g/8g , most come with a lot of stuff already installed . and has built in wireless( mine is dual band) get yourself one of those wireless mini keyboard with a mouse pad built in , make using the box way easier.(they are $20 ish) and work great.
try to get one with a power button on it , as from what ive seen , most or all do not.
for a few more $$ there are 2g/16b boxes now , don't know if the 16b will give you a long buffer time as that's the rom , so maybe more apps can be put in/on.
