How can we help you if your remote wont work. Did you change the batteries? Do you have a universal remote that you can test it with? Did you try a reset on the box?

steep !!
lol, I'll tell yea steep. I send out these small cards often (about 3/4 inch by 2 in. by 2 in.)
Cost me approx 8 to 9 bux to send to USA and even more to send in Canada and I am in Canada too.
That's cheap as they can be for shipping. Only cheaper is to fit the item thru a slot and then it's classed as a letter which would end up being about $1.80
If I force the card it will go thru but prolly damage it.
I sent one to PR once. Sending it as small package was gonna be 90 bux, no kidding.
So I forced that card thru the slot and cost me $3.10 :)
(by force, I mean unpacking it and sending with no cushion protection).
Talk about steep for some protection !!!

I always use the usps flat rate priority boxes to ship..to send a remote in the small box would be like $5.45 and will be at your door in 2-3 days anywhere in the us

In the past, I saw satellite receivers that the remote eye was not placed correctly and the remote had a very narrow window of where to place it to work. Not sure if this is the cause of your problem, but see if when the remote works, that it has a close to the same place working window. Then you can fill out a repair ticket and explain the problem better and get the unit repaired, maybe a little faster. Or you can at least find the window of best use and not send it back. Since the units have a 1 year warranty, I would suggest you not try to open the box to see if that is the problem.

if you remove the cover, and hold on to the batteries and it should power up the remote. The coil of contact is not that springy enough, maybe
use cellophane tape in the middle of the batteries to have a better contact.

I just received my box yesterday. Though it works fine, the remote range is pathetic. At 4 feet it works normally and at 6 feet is hit or miss. That's with new alkaline batteries.
