Unwatchable Streams Due to New Encoding (Poll)

Recently due to upgrades or maintenance many subscribers I know have had problems with streams on their boxes due to the new encoded streams on the server, more specifically the mpeg 2 audio channels rendering watching the streams unwatchable.

Before the changes are left permanent to this new format I just want to make it known a lot of people are affected by this and there was no issue before with the mp3 format.

The last couple of days a lot of channels has been force closing kodi on 2 of my fire tv 4k boxes like The Disney Channel, the premium channels but my Nvidia Shield is unaffected no force closes on it. I'm using stalker client 0.8.4 on all 3 of my boxes with 75 mbps internet. Had no issues till recently

I was able to try several channels on a MAG 254 yesterday, no issues or blips with the new encoding, and this was on a 50 mbps internet. It actually looks a look clearer and smoother on a 70" screen, and not as jumpy when things are scrolling over. I think the problem is affecting mostly persons who are using the Kodi addons to stream the service. I will be testing out a Kodi connection today and see if it will mess up and close.

I think the problem in these streams is in Kodi only. AVOV and MAG's are working with no problems.

no problems here. in fact, channels seem to be in sync much more reliably now. I haven't noticed any sound degradation or anything. Ill throw on my headphones and report back if there is audio problems. Mag254 working fine. 20Mb/s connection. Emulator on a dual core android box is choppy on some channels but watchable.

using kodi on all my devices it has nothing todo with kodi itself but rather the chipset used. one of my 3 boxes has trouble that imo is unwatchable (panning the scene looks very odd, and picture looks like its interlaced).
pc looks fine but has trouble detecting it is widescreen. so its a yes and no. voted no, probably should be yes because there is a problem of some sort.

Both of my fire tv 4k boxes were working flawlessly a few days ago but now 80% of the channels force close kodi now.

All the premium channels which was once 720p hd are now SD.Why you all dropped the quality of the channels are you going to put them back in hd,because everyone likes HD channels they are better quality to view,so I hope you all resolve this problem soon.Thank you.

After doing thorough testing with Kodi 14.2 (TVMC + IPTV Stalker) on a Macbook Pro yesterday and today I've experienced no issues with the channel streams with the new encoding.

I can't watch anything. I have a firestick and an android box. The firestick is like watching a slideshow and then it shuts down. The android box has a lot of buffering and a white glare on the screen. Both unwatchable

People shouldnt use the firestick they suck. The lack of Ram is a major reason it doesn't work well with IPTV.

Majority of issues are with in the memory and processor not handling the load from my experience.

Problem has now rectified itself on Kodi well on my end it has. MPEG2 encoding settings seem to be spot on now no more freezing on the american channels.

i really am astonished by the way people are quick to blame everything on the hardware we are using as soon as anything goes wrong the firestick ram and processor is only the latest , i remember when this first came to kodi and all channels worked sweet as and people were happy then they changed everything and started to get people to pay which everyone was happy to do as it worked well plus the promises of HD and no freezing and no buffering , then things started to go wrong with problem after problem and all we seem to get is it must be something your end , your firestick isnt any good , everytime something gets changed on server end it causes all sorts of problems for everyone and you dont even get advance warning of anything happening it really is getting to be a bad show.

i am a reseller and to be honest it is the most time consuming thing i have ever done i am emailed at least 10 times a day , i have even offered my customers their money back out of my own pocket just to get some peace , when it works , it is quite good , but the bad times really are outweighing the good at the moment , ppv has gone down for maintenance but they have not given a date when it will return and i have to tell people i dont know even though i sell for them , i just keep hoping things will get better but just as you think things cant get any worse , they do ....

As a business owner you should be expecting that. I can't remember reading anyplace it would be a good idea being a reseller... Nothing comes easy in any business!

I get that selling is the easy part but as with anything give it a test run before you or anyone thing about being resellers in anything. It really would have become evident that with the months of issues being worked out that this is not something that is perfected. With that said of course you are going to get constant calls unfortunately. Also as many have said this should not be anyone's only source to TV and if that is what anyone is planning they will be disappointed. Always have a backup so when there are issues you can fall back on plan B ;)

I have 2 different boxes M8S and MXIII both running Emulator 7.0.4 and yes after the new encoding picture quality is very choppy. I have even tried external players like Vlc, Mx player but no luck.

That's just a work around, shouldn't need to disable amcodec...

but that's probably something more to do with kodi and the box hardware then it does with IPTV.

Hello, i'm a new user, i'm on NFPS since 2 weeks, and like the most of you, it doesn't work anymore. Buffering each 2 or 4 seconds on AMC, Starz, Cinemax...
Sky is ok because MP3 or AAC audio.
I'm on a 8 month Mac Mini 8 gb of ram (a beast). And kodi last version, with the pvr stalker client.

I also have IKS66 on IPTV stalker client, same problem, but less lagging on AMC for example. It's a little bit better.

Anyway, i tried the "fix issue" (disabling acceleration) It's still the same. I got no option for codec, it's only "acceleration"... I put off. No change.

A bit disappointed paying 100 bucks and 2 days after not working.... Issues and problems can occurs, but it's not normal during so long....

Can't they simply turn back to the old streaming which was perfect ?
