Recording VOD Movies on a USB Hard Drive

Is there a way to record a VOD movie on a Mag 254's USB hard drive?

Doesn't seem to work. Have read both that it may be a glitch with the software and that it needs to be turned on at the server side. Not sure which is true but it does not work

On my mag250 it does work with NTV but not with another server I use .

which leads me to believe this is a server issue and not the box, much as BIO said..

Out of curiosity I just tried it with another server and it also worked.

As you go down the list of VOD's just hit the info button on the film you want , you then get the red download button available .
