Channel list question

Hi all. Is there a way to stop the box loading the channel when scrolling through the channel list. I would like to scroll through then select ok to view? Hope that made sense cheers. This is on a mag254

Not near a mag for some time but try this's ,,,go to portal and select open by OK only, or. May be in different place.
