Stalker Client PVR Add-on Release Thread

OK psycon or anyone that may have a ideal I hav stalker pvr up and running again on my android box useing the modded Kodi with 0.8 stalkerpvr works great with the guide from tecbox.tv/repo.... but if I use the guide from is.gd/NFPSF or is.gd/NFPSE the system crashes I use to use the guide is.gd/NFPSF with simple pvr and stalker client with no problem so not sure whats going on . also will mc2xml program work on android to host file local

Thanks petrone. It appears that upgrading from 14.2 to 15 messes things up maybe because of old stalker installs and settings?

I uninstalled kodi and settings, rebooted. Installed kodi 15. Installed pvr.stalker .8. Put in mac address, 1.iptvprivateserver.tv, and is.gd/NFPSE and its running great now. :cool:

its too bad that alot of my 14.2 addons wont work yet in isengard. is there an isengard addon repo somewhere ?

Try turning off Live TV, reset the pvr and guide, then enable Live TV. If that doesn't work, check your settings, and if that's ok and your still not up, you may need to uninstall/reinstall. The PVR Stalker client for 14.2 is no longer of interest to the developer, if you don't want to update to Kodi 15.0 beta, better to just wait and use IPTV Stalker.

this is strange just loaded a 2nd android box and used the is.gd/NFPSF guide and its working great looks vary good must be a problem with the first android box gonna do a 3ed in afew same kind of box as the one that crashs and see what happens

really not sure I rooted this one box about a month ago and thought that was the only thing that was not the same as the other boxs so I unrooted the box started kodi and stalkerpvr loaded I checked the guide it loaded I went back to stalkerpvr changed the guide ling back to is.gd and perged the db and it loaded I checked about 10 channels all working good now tonight im having some issues but im thinking its the server and not on my end
im reading alot of post and seeing alot of spamming on the boards sure hope a war is not starting

---------------------------------HOW TO set up NFPS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you install any version above.. (it is assumed you know how to get this far, if not, google is your friend)

1. Go to settings > Addons > My Addons > PVR > Stalker and set your MAC to the MAC you linked to your Donation... If you have not linked one yet, make one up in the format of 00:1A:78:XX:XX:XX (XX = RANDOM hex characters 0-9 A-F - be creative here )
2. Set server to 1.iptvprivateserver.tv
3. scroll down and set XMLTV to Preferred and Remote URL to http:/ /is.gd/NFPSF (optional - but reccomended.)
4. Go to settings > Addons > My Addons > PVR > Hit menu button on Stalker plugin and enable.
5. Go to settings >TV and enable
6. Restart Kodi.

***NOTE***: If you ever make changes in the stalker plugin.. or the channel lineup changes. go into settings >TV and choose Reset PVR datatbase and restart Kodi as soon as its done (before it starts reloading channels)

Hi i have a problem with my live tv im running xbmc G box Matricom Midnight I was able to get my live channels to populate and show (682 channels) but when i try and go to them it shows working but no channels come up afterwards I have iptv client installed not sure if its my settings or what plkease i know im close but ant get over the hump any help would be greatly appreciated....

im having a slight problem with the epg when using the is.gd or the tecbox iptvguide url link on iptv simple client it seems to be between 30-60 minutes out of sync with the channel listed,this is when the time shift is set at 0 however ive tried -5 -1 +.5 +1 and I cant seem to get it right,im in the uk if anyone can tell me the correct setting for the timeshift of the epg it would be a great help

I am for the 1st time starting yesterday getting serious buffering on a whole lot of channels. Also most channels are loading very slowly. I still have 0.6b Stalker Client with KODI 14.2 because all the others including 0.8 standalone and prepacked Kodi with 15 version were giving me fits. Android MXQ OTT Set Top Box. Anyone else having this buffering issue besides myself. I've checked my modem and router and both are churning out their normal bandwidth. This was not a issue before yesterday. I've made no recent alterations to my rig. Thanks in advance to the forum for any insight. Peace and Blessings ;)

Yes, updated on android...it does force an uninstall of the bundled Kodi (and all the implications of that) but 0.8 works.

I just installed the new kodi, and can't get the EPG going

It works fine for me.. remember to purge your PVR and epg database and restart kodi after making changes in the stalker settings

Works for me, as well. It wasn't working without the "http://" though, but that's not too much of a concern for me. The new beta only shows "Clear data" for the PVR and guide purge, by the way, and it may clearing both, based on the dialog box.

What version of isengard? What version of the pvr addon? Make sure you're using isengard beta 2 or a nightly after beta 2 and make sure the pvr addon version is 0.8

Install Kodi 15.0 beta 2. I encourage you to read the thread if you wish to find the stand-alone add-on, but honestly if you are unable to upgrade, it's probably not worth your effort, and you'd be better off using IPTV Stalker. It actually is more effort for me to type this than to just hand you the file itself.

Not sure if this will make sense to all but wanted to ask. I am on Kodi Isengard 15 beta 2 and setup stalker 0.8 PVR client and getting a guide with is.gd website running on a G-Box Q android TV box.

My Issue is: Whenever I watch any channel from Main Screen: TV -> Channels or TV -> Guide with the Stalker PVR client, I get audio to cut out on me every 1-3 min for a second or two and then stream continues... It's very frustrating since it's hard to watch anything when you miss what is being said. This happens constantly ever 1-3 min for a sec or 2...This does not happen when playing streams via Genesis, Phoenix, IceFilms, Pandora, Plex etc.. and also does not happen if I watch NFPS using Stalker video addon. Only the Live TV.. All other internet streams work fine. This also happens whether I route sound through tv speakers or a home theater via digital optical out. If this is not the correct forum/thread please let me know what I can post this for help. Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix or a path to chase down to fix?

What's happening is that the stream at the source is not as fast as your client is in syncing audio to video, so that's why the audio is dropping out. It can also be a bug in the beta... you can report the issue to the developers over at kodi.tv for that, or at least try to find a solution there for the stalker pvr addon.

I don't do this myself, so I'm not sure if it will work for Live TV for the PVR, but it should. There are some other settings that are PVR specific, which increase the amount of forward caching and how much cache is done before the video shows, but try the generic zero cache first. What it does if when you first start a program or movie, and you hit pause, the video will start to save to your memory (hard drive or ram), and after a few minutes, you can start watching the video and get no pauses... as the info is already on your memory.

As far as IPTV Stalker video addon v. PVR Stalker, they are different programs, and the PVR Stalker does a lot more to appear like what you see from a set top box, so you may need more computing power to run it. In general, Kodi PVR clients can be a little tricky to run. Regular video addons are a more direct process than a PVR.

Just posting to say thanks for all the useful tips - especially dara. I successfully loaded pvr stalker on my win 7 htpc and on an Amazon Fire TV Stick. EPG works well on the htpc. As someone stated in a previous post, loading the full EPG can crash Kodi on the fire tv stick. I'm assuming it's due to the limited RAM on the stick. I enabled only one channel group and that portion of the EPG loaded fine, but no dice when loading the EPG with the all channels group. I suppose the solution for me will be to define a custom group so that the EPG doesn't fill up the RAM to much.

i think its jsut a bug in kodi beta 2.. i have had random crashing now and again on all my systems and have to clear my database to fix it. doubt its ram. the EPG is under 20 megs.


U can download my git and modify the scrips so it only grabs 1 day of data to see if that will help..

Thanks for the tip. I did download your EPG scripts yesterday and placed them on my Plex server PC that runs 24/7. I'll read up on how to modify the scripts to pull down only those channels that I need the EPG content for and just for a day or so. Once I get them tuned properly, I'll use the task scheduler on that box to launch it daily.

I have a tvguide app downloaded on my cellphone for now. another question you or someone might be able to help with.....some channels do not load, is there a 'timeout' setting I can adjust so I dont have to wait longer than say 5-10 seconds for a channel to NOT load?

I installed it from zip - I configured it with the last 3 pieces of my MAC XX:XX:XX, I then added the Server Address (http://1.iptvprivateserver.tv)

I then went into Live TV and enabled it, and , and the only change I made in there was to enable channel order from the backend(s)

I restarted the box, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the stalker client, - I am always getting Stalker Client - Unable to load channels.

I am not sure what I am missing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i had instance where when i did a database purge it would disable iptstalker i would have to back and re enable it and the stalker client i would do the same disable then enable then reboot and it starts working again

That's the case. 0.8 comes preinstalled with Kodi 15.0 beta 2. If you must use Kodi 14.2, you have to use the IPTV Stalker/PVR simple combo if you need a guide.

Ok to all, so I got it working but I couldnt use my MAC address that was tied to the box. I used this one 00:1A:**:**:**:**

Some background, there was someone who installed it on one of my other boxes. I thought each box should be tied to its own MAC address, but after I put this one in - which is the same one being used on my other box, I was able to load the Channels, EPG, etc.

So I have it working, but now I am confused a little.

What is the purpose of the MAC address if it's not the one from the box that you are installing the IPTV stalker on. I thought it was a mechanism to track which boxes are legit or something.

If someone can explain this I think it would help clear some things up. Also if the person who installed this is using the same MAC address everywhere, then what does this mean once it goes to a paid service?

Do not write the MAC address here because someone might take advantage of it and your will get a trouble again. The MAC address is something like your SIN # and will give you access to the paid service in the future.

Ok sorry wasn't aware. So how do I get it so that my own MAC address can be used?
I believe the person that installed my original box is using the same MAC address everywhere, I would like to get it so I can use my own MAC addresses for my own boxes.

If there is a way I can get this working, then that would be great because right now when I put my own MAC address from the bottom of the box, I am not able to load channels.

The MAC is only one of the methods that can be used to verify that the account is valid, but it isn't 100%, because anything can be spoofed. The primary mechanism that NFPS and Rocket uses for its donations are the donation number... and they probably only really care about that. The MAC does identify the device to the server as unique, vs. a user's ip address, which is usually dynamic. It doesn't guarantee that the box is "genuine" as someone who makes a clone of the box can just assign MACs at will... it just gets into the firmware of the box.

If you are worried that someone can just spoof your MAC, all you will probably need to prove that it's yours is a picture of the MAC address label, and your valid donation number if it stops working. Besides that, the odds of someone guessing your MAC is roughly 16^6 to 1, and combined with a donation number, multiply that by 12^10.

My guess is that NFPS hasn't yet fully implemented MAC checking, other than the first 6 digits, and the default 00:00:00 suffix

Last month I bought a Matricom Gbox Q. I LOVE it because I watch a lot of movies. And there hasn't been a movie I haven't been able to find. However, I was having trouble with Live TV addons. The video addons of IPTV just weren't cutting it. I was plagued by buffering issues and low quality video (and a lack of channels.) THEN I FOUND THIS! It took me a few minutes to change my MAC address and get the correct server location set, but once I did..... WOW. I have 695 channels at my disposal. They're all crystal clear. Got rid of my bulky Verizon set top box last week. And I'm sure glad I did! Keep up the great work!

I thought it was openelec related also but I just updated my firetv to 15 beta 2 and it's doing the exact same thing.. Using the English only guide link, epg data is there in channels but trying to open the guide results in force close. So that 2 different platforms doing the exact same thing. Tried loading up different skins also, same thing. Weird.

im running an amlogic s802 ARM STB from china and using a build of openelec 6.0 that was compiled by a guy named kerber, its specifically for the box i have and you would need a different version depending on your hardware.

The server is having problems connecting with PVR Stalker 0.8. Just as a test, I manually extended the connection timeout to 60 via the settings.xml in userdata > addon_data > pvr.stalker, and was able to get it to connect. The maximum you can change the timeout setting through the setting menu is only 15. If you don't understand what I just did, don't bother asking how to do this.

Yeah. Don't go into the settings once you change it to 60 and save. The highest value coded in the add-on is 15.

un-installed whatever you have and install the RC 1 for Android, make sure when settting up the Stalker PVR you use the http:// on both the server address and the guide and boom it worked..

They are different 'animals'. The PVR Stalker integrates into the LiveTV/PVR function on Kodi, making the channels appear more line what you would expect from a set top box, where you can surf channels, and possibly record programs, along with an EPG. The IPTV Stalker is a video addon, where it produces a list of channels to watch and you select them from a menu. I personally prefer the PVR Stalker with its features, vs. the minimal approach of the IPTV Stalker, but it's inherently less reliable than the IPTV Stalker, but not that significant.

I understand that many want assurances that the Stalker add-ons will work going forward, however I'd rather the server guys stay under deep cover. The addons have been tested for months, with NO word from people tight with the server guys that the service would NOT work with the addons and emulators. The PVR addon in particular has been tested with all known methods of authentication. Therefore, its pretty logical that there will be a way to connect with the servers without having a box.

This fix got the system functioning well and stable once again and no need to mod the settings.xml file as it does allow the 60 time out with out erasing changes in kodi. Great job psycon.

I get those intermittently as well but not as severe, and its hard to tell if its due to Kodi or the add-on itself. The PVR/Live TV in Kodi is in constant development, and since 15.0 isn't yet released as stable it would be hard to figure out a cause. There are pvr advanced settings that might work, but its not clear if that would help yet.

This was all working well until the last few days...

I have PVR Stalker (v0.8.1) configured for two portals:

(1) 1.iptvPrivateServer.tv + is.gd/NSPSF
(2) 1.iptvRocket.tv + is.gd/NFPSF

The timeout is set for 60 seconds.

But for either of those portals, when I start KODI I *immediately* get (with no delay):

Can you upgrade to Kodi 15.0, now that it's stable? The updated addon does seem to be more responsive. Also, please make sure that your Mac starts with 00:1A:79, and the next six are between 0-9, and A-F (There are no letter oh's in the MAC). If you aren't connecting after the upgrade, we'll go from there. You use the "Stalker client", not the PVR Simple Client.

I don't think you can from the Kodi app, as it is built-in, but you can prevent it from being installed during the update. You also can do this manually through the program files.

Use 11.iptv*.tv going forward, and include the http:// before on all links, including is.gd. Make sure you "Clear data" in the TV settings after reconfiguring the PVR Stalker client.

First time poster on this excellent forum - it has helped me out in the past but nothing seems to be working today.

I have followed the guide from you Dara on your sticky http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?5691-Setting-up-IPTV-Stalker-and-PVR-Stalker-for-paid-access/ to try and configure my now paid for RocketTV using the Stalker Client 0.8.3 version. I have input my end of mac address with the prefix 00:1A:79 and the server address of http://11.iptvrocket.tv . The guide is setup the same as Daras guide for prefer XMLTV and the remote url of http://is.gd/NFPSF

I have tried with and without username/password that was provided in the email from papiao for rockettv (their forum ain't very helpful at all!) and reset the 'Clear Data' many times as well as reload Kodi.

Running this on a windows machine with the latest version of the kodi installer from kodi.tv (15.0 isengard stable release).

Hoping someone can help me out guys - much appreciated for your time(s)!

There is no choice in the Stalker client and the parental control in Live TV does not stop adult channels being played,was wondering if there is another way.

Guys.. to those who have the NFPS/Rocket sub. How's the stream buffering and quality ? I had severe buffering starting around evening every day during the trial run.
I am hesitant paying for something like that. Any input is appreciated. Will they offer a refund if it doesn't work out ? Anyone know. Thanks

If you are got buffering in the evening every day, you'll probably get the same buffering... especially if you are on a cable ISP. Check with your isp, saying that you are getting buffering when using Netflix or something but my neighbors aren't, and they might send out a tech to check your connection. Do your research, one of the services supported here do monthly subs.

yup. that sounds like your ISP.. do speedtests throughout the day and write em down to confirm. or call your ISP.

Do the speed tests from a server hosted by your isp. Do a test in the morning and then one around 3 in the afternoon and then one around the time you got the buffering. It's important to grab the test from a speed/test server the isp has up because that will give you the most accurate results.

That's true. And god forbid you have to clear the cache at anytime for any reason... pvr stalker doesn't remember your changes. I can't tell you how many times I have hidden channels that I don't want to see. I takes about 20 minutes to hide all the ones I'm not interested in. But I do like the default logos much better than the ones I used to use. As far as I can remember, the logos didn't change once they were set. I put the directory that had the icons as a file source and it made it much easier to set up when I used iptv simple client.

The OP no longer has a link to the latest version of the PVR Stalker because it is built into Kodi 15.0 and above.

Look in the Kodi Tutorial section for a thread that talks about the PVR stalker if you need to download the modified version, but that isn't necessary for most users.

TVMC is based on Kodi 14.2, so you probably can't get PVR Stalker to work with it, at least the newer versions. I'll see if I have an archived version of .6 or .7 that might work on TVMC but I suspect I may not be able to load it here. The author might have deleted his archive as well. There might be a link somewhere here for it in this huge thread.

For Sidious, look in the Kodi Tutorials for the PVR Simple/ IPTV Stalker integration if you want the EPG guide, that still should work. EPG is a 'WORK IN PROGRESS'. We really can't do a lot of support for generic boxes as far as flashing ROMs that will get it to work, but its really strange that you can't get Kodi to work. You might want to find your box in XDA Developers for help in that area.

dara i tried doing that (thats how i had it set up before, using the ivue instead) ever since yesterday when im in the live tv option i see the channels but when i go to select one it does not load , it says working and then nothing. also the EPG still doesn't work, it doesn't load anything.

I'll check it out later, as I abandoned that method with the updates to PVR Stalker. It could be that the m3u from IPTV Stalker can't work anymore without proper authorization from the other program, be it Ivue or PVR Simple. I'll post an update on that tutorial thread, or somewhere else, as we are veering off topic. EPG is a WORK IN PROGRESS as well due to the data source issues.

It is already. Look for "xmltv EPG Grabber" in the Kodi Files section.

Any chance of getting that 0.7 experimental stalker client? The only version available on github is 0.6. I opted (performance and stability reasons) to stay on Helix 14.2 on my Fire TV but really want the look, performance and EPG easiness of stalker client 0.8.3.
The PVR Simple/ IPTV Stalker combo worked well, but I never could adjust the EPG to my time zone, and of course, didn't have the channel logos.

For users, I suggest turning off Live TV before installing, clear data, and disable "Stalker Client"... you don't need to uninstall and it still works, but the new version is self explanatory. Enable and then then turn on Live TV.

you will want to use the version pre bundled with kodi... the NFPS version is no better than the kodi bundled version, it merely simplifies setup and is locked to NFPS based servers..

You really shouldn't have to. Kodi 15.0 and above have built in versions of the PVR Stalker Client. If you upgrade your Kodi on you PC, you should have all the PVR Clients if you don't specifically exclude it from the installation.

If you are looking for the simpler PVR Stalker NFPS, look in the PVR Clients Forum for a sticky.

The other day I recompiled everything for my Linux/Fedora-22 environment (kodi, pulse-eight, kodi-platform and stalker-pvr). I do this every several months to keep up. So I'm now running Kodi v16 Alpla-4 Git and Stalker-PVR Client v0.9.7.

Kodi itself works but, sadly, the Stalker-PVR client (which worked flawlessly for months with my RocketTV donation before my recent recompile), now times out immediately upon starting Kodi (or when disabling/enabling TV feature) :: Failed to connect to server. The previous Stalker-PVR version was v0.8.3 (and Kodi was v16 Alpha-1). The connection timeout is set to 30 seconds.

The URLs that I'm using which, per the note above, include trailing slashes ("/") are:

Three questions:


Looking at dvbken's note above, are my URLs now invalid/old for this Kodi/Stalker-PVR update? As I mentioned, they were working perfectly before my recompile.
I haven't updated "./settings.xml" file (which I usually manually edit with vi(1), as that is more reliable). Has the format of this file changed in any way between Stalker-PVR v0.8.3 and v0.9.7? I don't think it has, but just checking in case that may be my issue.
What could be my Failed to connect to server instant timeout issue?

When I just now tried @dvbken's URL above, the timeouts still occur, but this time I get a first message indicating Authentication failed: retrying followed by device conflict: device_id mismatch a few seconds later. Referring back to my post/question on this thread yesterday -- Comment #1698 which is found at this URL --

for some reason my Rocket credentials stopped working. In addition to not working on my Linux/Fedora-22 computer (whose configuration is detailed at the URL above), it's also no longer working on my Android device. I use the same Rocket credentials there (although I never connect at the same time, of course).

The Rocket donation doesn't expire for another 275 days.

For good measure, I successfully changed the MAC address (format "00:1A:78:xx:yy:zz") and then updated it in my ./settings.xml files accordingly, but it still doesn't work: Failed to connect to server happens almost immediately, even though the timeout is set to 30 seconds. Again, this is no longer working in my Linux environment (where I compile KODI and Stalker-PVR manually - but the compiles work), and also no longer working on my Android device (where I do not compile things).

Any ideas? It just started a day or two ago. Again, my Rocket donation is valid when I log in to check it. Here are relevant entries from ./kodi.log.

Currently, I have these fields empty in the configuration section:

How does one obtain values for these if, in fact, they require values?

So using my password generator, I created four (qty. 4) different alpha-numeric strings of length 13 (one for each of the four fields), and inserted them. Note that I left the token field blank.

Sadly, I still get Failed to connect to server very immediately (and this happens even when I max out the connection timeout parameter, and well before that amount of time has passed).

Does this mean that someone hijacked my MAC and registered it with their Serial Number, Device IDs and Signature, and now I cannot register it? Also, notice in the full message output at the end of this post reply, the following (including the effective URL being used), just in case it matters:

Sorry, out of ideas, unless you didn't set the customized serial number fields or have other incorrect values. Did this work for you previously, or is this the first time you tried to configure PVR Staker?

Essentially there are only three kind of issues
1. Configuration (server won't connect) - Right server, proper and linked MAC, properly configured EPG, and properly configured serial number. Always start with a fresh MAC.

2. Network (channels won't load or server won't connect) - ping the server to see if you get a return, if not, increase your connection timeout or check your firewalls.

3. Application (bad install, usually only when you side load a PVR) - uninstall completely, including userdata, and TV*.db files in Database.

Yes, my registered MAC and the configuration (i.e. ./settings.xml) worked for months with no issue. And, again, while I successfully recompiled everything on Fedora-22/Linux to catch up with software versions (with the help of @wsnipex elsewhere), I didn't touch my Android device. But that stopped working, too (and I didn't touch that).

Hmmm... I'm out of ideas.

- I changed my MAC and tried to register it with the S/N, Device IDs and Signature. I used the MAC checker page when selecting the new one.
- I maxed out the connection timeout setting (though that didn't seem to be the issue since my errors are immediate).
- This just stopped working on Linux and Android, the latter of which I didn't touch.

Is the mac address check accurate these days? I'd hate this to be a case of bad luck and it says it's available and I accidentally changed it to another one that is already registered.

Finally, what is the best alternative to Stalker-PVR that I can use with my Rocket donation? I'd have to compile that, too, but since I'm out of ideas on how to fix this mysterious issue, it's worth a shot. So what is another well-traveled PVR client for kodi? The next best one.

There has to be something else going on here. Other than trial and error, there is now way to determine what is happening. Also turned on my VPN in case the IPs were being blocked, but that didn't solve my issue. This is quite a strange one. All looks perfect, but there is no way to tell why the issue persists, let alone why it arose after months of working just fine. I wish the errors were more informative. Grrr. lol

All these providers use the same back end but I do not know if they share authentication so you could try to use the 11.iptvprivateserver.tv server too.

Hi friends:

I had a small breakthrough, which I'll explain here, and want your intuition/take on what may remain as the issue.

So I changed the MAC address once more and, along with specifying my S/N, Device IDs, and Signature (all set up before enabling TV - thanks for the tip @data), I finally was able get my Rocket Donation working on my Android (Nexus 6) device.

Since I did not alter the KODI (nor the Stalker-PVR plugin) software on that Android device (i.e. didn't upgate anything) then, that my original and unprotected MAC stopped working could mean that original MAC was hijacked. As mentioned above, the new MAC address is working, and is now protected. The Stalker-PVR plugin on the Android device is version v0.8.4.

Okay, getting back to my Fedora-22/Linux computer. I'm using the exact same ./settings.xml file that now works on the Android device on that computer, but the computer scenario still fails. The Stalker-PVR plugin on the Fedora-22/Linux (which recall from a previous thread that I have to compile ground-up) is version v0.9.7.

Two questions:

(1) Does Stalker-PVR v0.8.4 respect, use and transmit S/N, Device IDs and Signatures? Or were those just place holders in v0.8.4 for future enabling? I need to know because I just registered this new MAC when my Android device connected and worked.

(2) Is anyone successfully connecting "securely" with Stalker-PVR version v0.9.7? (i.e. using S/N, Device IDs and Signature). If not, I may file this as a possible bug on stalker-pvr Github. I may have to clone and compile v0.8.4 and use that. That, in fact, was the previous version I was using before I downloaded the latest kodi, pulse-eight, kodi-platform and stalker-pvr stack (which, again, I do on Fedora-22/Linux to keep up with the software updates, fixes and enhancements).


Thoughts, observations and hunches on the above information appreciated.

Glad you got it working, this was going to be mu next suggestion since I saw that you were using a newer client. I know that this needs to be done in the next kodi version but I do not know what version of the client is included in it.

It's not specifically the Stalker Client. I read that Kodi 16 does not allow for redirects, so that's why you have to use the full path for the Stalker Clients there.

Yesterday I managed to break PVR Stalker client on 15.2 on Windows 10 while trying to fix time zone issues. After trying different time zones in the client and on the PC I started to get Unable to Load Channels. Ive uninstalled 15.2, mades sure all kodi files were removed ran a registry cleaner and reinstalled 15.2 setup the PVR Stalker Client and IPTV Stalker with the same Information and IPTV works the client dosen't. What other steps should I take to fix my booboo.

Hey this is great I get to answer my own question all that was needed to get the PVR Client to work again was to open PC Time and date settings and return to my time zone and correct local time. I originally set 1 zone to the east and set the PC clock back an hour and this worked but later caused thge PVR Stalker Client to stop connecting. I hope this helps others. Thanks

If your having EPG Guide issues with the time being off an hour you need to do this, at least for Kodi users. Now I am using the PVR Stalker that comes with Kodi.

1. Make sure the computer TZ is correct and time synced with a NTP server. If it is off to far then that will screw up your certificate data and cause connection failures on HTTPS requests.
2. Make sure the time zone is correct in the Stalker PVR Setup for your area. Use this link to get the correct TZ name: hxxps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones Replace xx with tt.
3. Change the fname in the remote XML URL to NFPS2 or NFPS4 depend on what guide you want.
4. Go to your live TV settings in Kodi and clear your EPG Data.
5. Restart Kodi.

This is what fixed my stalker client. You have to have to put in a 13'digit alphanumerical combo in serial number, 5 alphanumerical combo in deviceID and 5 alphanumerical combo in DeviceID2. Also in signature Imuse the last 6 numbers of donation number. Change one number on your MAC address and hit ok to save it. Then go and change your Mac on papiao.com.
Then restart KODI or clear cache and go back into KODI. This is what worked for me today.

I knew this is what it needed now to work, but I linked mine with a lesser amount of a alphanumerical combo a while back and it worked great until yesterday. So I am guessing this is what happened to you guys also.

notice how also pvr.stalker hasnt been used by leechers as IPTV stalker has... services it meant for 1 donation, 1 device anyways. your problem isnt really a problem.

Not sure how anything puts more strain on the EPG as well. the new versions of pvr.stalker cache the EPG locally and only redownload them when they get near expiry.. once or twice a day..

The built in PVR Stalker does work with other servers. If it didn't, it wouldn't have been "mainlined" as part of the Kodi release. That's also the reason why there are more steps to configure it to work with the supported servers, and thus the "official" NFPS version that is supposed to make it easier for users of the servers.

You can use third party software to do recording, but since recording is not enabled at the servers, you can not record using the PVR.
