Server Supplied EPG has always proven to be super flaky to me. Ive tried all servers out there and it either doesnt work, or only has a handful of channels.. or goes up and down all the time...

The next version of pvr.stalker fully supports my xmltv data source and then some.. it's going to be a nice surprise to you all i think... it is in testing now so a release may be soon.

You do not need to modify you skins to have Colorized EPG (when using my xmltv source), works much better right out of the box with this plugin when compared to IPTV simple client.

IT is recommended to delete previous versions, then installing this

It is recommended to purge PVR and EPG database, then RESTART kodi after making changes in stalker settings.

Yes, active portal is # 1, and there i have the server address, and the mac is the same i was using in previous kodi version, so it's kind of weird, it was working good on 14.2, now i switch to 15 and can't make it work, not even the simple client is working, i enable it and does nothing.

Ok, now i got it to work, i uninstall and reinstall kodi and the add on again, clear registry, and now is working, nice to see channel logos beside channel name.

Last night, using the pre-pre-release, I couldn't get my android working to get a connection to NFPS. My android kodi may be dirty, so I may have to fresh install. I'm expecting a new rom for the box, so it's not a big deal to blow away that Kodi, but it may be something to keep note of for those upgrading to 15.0. (I couldn't get a connection using 15.0 and pvr.staker 0.7 either, but 0.7 worked with 14.2)

deleting your EPG and TV .db files from your userdata/database folder in kodis appdata folder ususally solves any issues as well.

You should uninstall your current kodi installation.. and may have to delete remnant folder from /Android/Files/.kodi

The problem with the android version was not a bug in the plugin, rather Kodi was keeping remnant copies of the pre-bundled 0.7 version that comes with beta 1... so even after deleting and reinstalling, it was trying to use an old version of the libpvr.stalker.so file..

After attempting many ways to fix this, all were unsuccessful.. except using the package below

I may be wrong, but I assume once the pull request to move the latest version into the kodi.pvr git that you can just download the latest nightly of kodi to get this version. That pull request is still pending as of this time though.

I tested this, and it works, so go for it! My Kodi is very 'busy' so it will probably hold up to most other users. I was forced to uninstall the released beta, due to mismatch signatures, so its probably a requirement to use the link that psycon just posted. Make sure you back up before uninstalling.

psycon, what program do I use to edit these .db files? Will note pad work? Also, not hijacking, but I see you are online so thought I would ask right away: downloaded the new pvr stalker but I am not seeing 2 stalker clients in my addons, so I checked the version which is 0.8.0. Is this the one? I am wondering if it automatically updated the older version.

you dont edit your db files.. i said delete them.. i use ES file explorer for that on android.

you shouldnt ever see 2 versions of stalker plugin.. if you upgrade using the plugin zip from github it should overwrite previous versions.... on android there is a problem it seems though, it will install fine, but will not connect to any servers... in that caseyou will likely have to use kodi APK i just uploaded that has the newest stalker built i

There is a kodi backup plugin.. I have never used it though so your on your own.

Keep in mind these are pre release builds, they may not be for novice users.

Check the server url. It should be http://1.iptvprivateserver.tv. Also check if you changed the last 6 digits of the mac address.

Saw that. Mine has numeral 5 by default. Have no idea what that means.

OK, so I was getting the can not connect to stalker, uninstalled Kodi, did a disc clean and a registry clean. Reinstalled fresh Kodi and reinstalled stalker. Stalker is worker partially, I get the channels in the channel window but I get nothing in the EPG.... Did a PVR and EPG reset a couple times, still nothing.
Using Windows 7 and Kodi 15.

Look for the last post by dvbken. For Android (ARM), you need to install a bundled version of Kodi 15.0 beta, which means uninstalling your current 15.0.

I finally got it working.. I love how the epg looks.. its very nice. Thanks for the help guys. I think the only question i have to ask is about the channels. can i hide the channels that i don't want or is the channel numbers going to continue to shift according to what is added to the channel list?

Try the "channel manager" or group manager for that. Right click on the channel to get to the context menu.

I copied the whole appdata directory to another drive so I don't have to reinstall all my addons and redo each one individually again. I'm guessing the answer is yes as I tried to reinstall without doing that and still get stalker client unable to load channels' error.

On time zone in config...US/Miami works? I'm in Montreal (same zone as Mia)

i didnt have to do all that... make sure the server address is correct, and change the last 6 of the mac and that seemed to work.. i did have to for whatever reason do that twice... so i had to uninstall and then re install kodi and it worked

This loads very smooth now. And these logos look better than what I had.

Hey I notice, when i turn my android box off, turn it back on, it goes back to can not load channels, if i enable live tv off & on, or reboot kodi, it might load again.. do i have to do this everytime, i turn off the box?

Checked it again, unstable. Sometimes it loads, sometimes it does not load. Does not seem to be the server, as channels load using the video plugin. Will run the plugin for a while to see how stable that is,

I get channels loading with logos,but tv guide does not come in at all! Have to click ok 2x on remote for picture to come in! Works ok with simple client & epg! works ok also with the stalker video plugin! Just not understanding why no tv guide! I purged my databases and was able to reload everything Just fine.. I think it is a server issue. The banner on their homesite states a ECM may be running amuck with things..

IPTV stalker is a tad less sensitive to some server issues as it kept working for me, albeit slowly, during the outage the other day.

Settings > TV > General > Reset PVR Database
Then restart Kodi immediately

you seem to be the only one with these types of issues. perhaps your android device itself is unstable and you should do a factory reset or do a firmware reinstall. If your rooted and have lots of tweaks, those could be the cause and you should use a stock image for your device...

Tried many times purging ect....clean install ect, tried in other Android boxes....no problem getting channels to load with logos works great! No way will the guide work!!! Works great with tv guide on simple client...but cannot get tv guide to work with this!!! Going back using ivue tv guide with stalker addon & simple client!

It would help if you even said what kind of device / ROM you're using.. or even provided a pastebin to your debug log.

If you are loading channels but can't get the guide, try these to see if you have a connectivity issue:
1. enter the guide url in a browser and see if you get a .xml in return. If not, you may have a DNS issue
2. Download the attached dummy, and see if you get guide entries from it, locally.

Are you by any chance using an Amazon android box? I've read some reports that Amazon has started blocking Kodi.

I came in here looking to see if someone else was having this problem I have a android box G8 and stalker keep saying fail cannot load channels. I double check the configure ip address and the mac address and all is good. but I did notice something when I first got the last 3 items for the mac address it was not the same when I double check the MAC was different.

put kodi in debug mode and upload your kodi.log on pastebin or it didnt happen. (keep in mind your log may contain personal information, so you should censor out any private information)

That is not true! Most of the third party vendors that sell on Amazon have been pre-loading M8's Mx's & other devices with XBMC & now Kodi for over a year!! My issue is that I can get epg on ftv/guide ivue & simple client pvr....just trying to figure out why it won't work for this pvr application! It loads perfectly with the channels & new logos fine!

This is very nice when it works. If you turn your box off you get errors when turning it back on. I'm using it on windows (x64). While this looks better and video loads smoother than simple client, the load time in simple client is much faster.

Is there a particular reason the pcr client shows that it is importing guide data for every channel when using the link for English only? I have also run my own locally but the client doesn't see the majority of the UK channels even though they are in the xml file.

it is merely seeing if all the channels have guide data... You can use the channel manager to remove or hide unwanted channels.

the english list does contain some mexican channels, as they come off the SKY or Dish birds,

ok... finally got the epg to load! Now I notice on the top of my screen a pop up message that says channel group! It only goes away when I don't have full screen! Anyone else having this issue...did not have this when i did not have the epg????

It should, but if it doesn't, turn off Live TV, reset both PVR and Guide, check the settings again, then start Live TV. There may be some lag between the github and you, so it maybe best to actually download the guide from github and connect to it locally.

EPG blank, channels work, I see loading epg, but no luck...? is I dont see an option to use pyscons new guide httx:is.gd/NFPS...
should this be used instead of 1.iptvprivate etc... or this is pertaining to the stalker addon?

Ok I bit the bullet.
Disabled and uninstalled the PVR Stalker Client but not the IPTV Stalker on Helix 14.2.
Backed up my add ons using USB WIZARD. Cleared my Android cache. Uninstalled KODI 14.2 from the Android setting tab.
Loaded the DVBKEN Kodi 15.0 ARM on my ANDROID MXQ OTT Box. Restored my addons. All successfully.
I now have Stalker Client 0.7.1. I enabled the client, configured the mac address and entered the proper server address.
I then enabled TV in the System Settings. I have the channel list and most of the channels seem to work. Not noticing any different behavior than was present in 14.2 with 0.6.

ISSUES: 1. I still have the slow "Importing guide from clients" tab atop the screen. 2. IPTV Stalker is failing with a script error when I click the NFPS link. 3. I have a blank guide.
QUESTIONS: I see Psycon instructing others on where to input xml guide info and specific server info. Is that only for Non Android systems? I only see Mac address, Server and time zone in the Stalker Client. Also I don't see specific places in the IPTV Stalker addon to input this type of data other than the portal slots. Did I screw up by keeping an old IPTV Stalker? Is there a new one I should have? If so, where I can get it? Or are others using some other IPTV client? Thanks for your assistance. You all RULE!! Showing my age ;)

EDIT: I have gone back and read more carefully and notice Dara speaking on a 0.8 Stalker Client. Is this perhaps my issue?

OK. Uninstalled the pre packed Stalker Client 7.1 quoted in post #1383. Installed standalone zip 0.8.0 from Kenji GitHub "pvr.stalker-android-arm.zip." I get "Unable To Load Channels" Error. Deleted Kodi install and installed a pre packaged bundle with 0.8.0 referenced by Psycon at post #1313. Same results. As stated earlier I am using an MXQ on Android with stock firmware and had no difficulties with the 0.6 Client until recently when the EPG was taking forever to import across the top of the screen. The channels loaded and played, the EPG would not. I have followed several suggestions from the forum. With no success yet. Confused by one instruction though: Are we adding "http://" to the 1.iptvprivateserver.tv address in the newer client? I have tried it both ways to no avail. For the last attempt I only loaded the pre packed Kodi with 0.8.0. No other add ons. Any clues? I noticed Puck said he finally got his working. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was having that issue until I found out I was not using the latest version of the Stalker Client. What version are you using? I started seeing all the new fields with 0.8.0.

in some cases after you uninstall kodi. you have to use a file explorer to delete kodi's folder.. then install the prepackaged APK i posted.

Alternatively, you can try this modified plugin I made (simply renamed the plugin to Stalker Client 2)


(I didnt make this to fix this issue, rather to enable multiple simultaneous servers.. sadly the mod did not work properly on my Fire TV, but did work just fine on my Windows Machine.)

sounds like a server issue. did you put Kodi in debug mode and look at kodi.log to see what is happeneing?

not sure if this being the correct section, but until today the pvr,epg run fantastic on my windows using the pvr.stalker-win32 kodi 15 beta its was great then this afternoon i opened up kodi and the channels were there epg also but 90% of the epg were blank but if i played the channel and clicked the epg button i got the full list of programs/times and so on but nothing dissplayed in the epg. anyone have any ideas if theres been a issue these last few hours.

all done, ive even sorted out the channel png for almost all the english channels if anyone wants them just say and ill host them and send the link, they all renamed so pvr channel manager will auto add them when told via settings

The posted 0.8 versions require Kodi 15.0, while 0.6b is ok with 14.*. That's why you see 'dependencies not met'.

You cant add channels. they are set by the server.. you can hide/remove unwanted ones though

you can hide or password protect adult channels

go into settings>TV>General>Channel manager to set all this up

For some reason, I can't find where to enter that URL for the guild. I don't have a scroll bar in my Stalker - Settings, unless I am looking at the wrong one?

The reason is that the 0.7 built-into the Kodi Android isn't properly uninstalling when installing the 0.8 version. There is a work-around that might work, installing a clone of that version that is just named differently, but will install in different directories. I attached psycon's version, but I haven't personally tested it ... use at own risk!!!!!

When I installed Isengard I uninstalled the stalker pvr client builtin with it 0.7 before I installed the new Stalker 0.8 version and now I will uninstall the 9.8 before I install your new stalker 2 0.8 client. But just ignore the builtin one and keep it disabled if the modified one is working for you..


Whenever Kodi Beta 2 is released it is likely that the built in stalker plugin will be updated to the current version and you can start over fresh again (as you should do anyways whenever using a beta version of anything)

Hi, I loaded the stalker 2 PVR client that Dara uploaded and installed it on my G-Box Q android TV box. I uninstalled all other stalker PMR clients and also disabled the simple PVR cleint. I then configured the new stalker 2 client with is.gd EPG and 1.xxxxxx.tv. When starting Live TV via Kodi 15 beta 1 settings I get a stalker error popup about not being able to load channels. I don't understand in the below log saying I don't have mac or time zone, etc. or it trying to connect to 127.0.0.1 when I have entered all the correct parameters in my android TV box as I do in my windows PC and stalker client is working on windows. It's like it's not reading the settings I just configured on android. Log is below:

I'll take the question... on my generic android box with the modded/bundled kodi 15.0 beta, you won't need to do the IPTV Stalker/PVR Simple integration to get a working guide. The difference is that you can't use the XML that is generated by psycon's grabber on the installed 0.7 version of the PVR Stalker. The 0.8 version does accept the xml, and gives you icons, as well as a color full guide... something that is unmatched by any other Stalker client application (box, STBemu, or IPTV Stalker)

You don't need IPTV Stalker. Modify the MAC, the URL for the server and the XMLTV if you want a guide.

I'd hold off on that for now, as the files generated by the epg grabber are not correct. When they are, use the following:



is.gd/NFPSF
or
is.gn/NFPSE (English only)

Look for the last post by dvbken. For Android (ARM), you need to install a bundled version of Kodi 15.0 beta, which means uninstalling your current 15.0.

I think I saw you already updated to 15.0, but the basics on updating is to go to Kodi.tv/download to get the latest stable version of Kodi for your machine, and install that. If you found the downloaded Kodi here, it's only for special situations where the PVR has to be included due to installation issues on Android... and no other platform.

Are you guys just getting 16 channels to load into the pvr, or just 16 channels on the guide? If you are only loading 16 channels, you are looking at some other service, try resetting the pvr and guide and check your settings. If you are only getting 16 channels in the guide, but are getting all the channels loaded, you need to reset the pvr and guide.

At the moment, the guide doesn't work if you are getting it from is.gd due to a missing footer, so you'll have to wait for a refresh.

I believe to get the timezone field to accept something, it has to list the continent/city. Try Americas/New York

I was only getting 14 channels showing. Once I disabled the EPG stuff mentioned, I had all the channels back.

OK this was a pain ... lol. I didn't want to completely remove kodi and install the apk with the pvr addon already installed. So after seeing in a post what @psycon said about the libpvr.stalker.so library file I went digging. I then realized that I couldn't modify the data partition on my fire stick since I don't have it rooted so my idea of just deleting the libpvr.stalker.so file from /data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/lib wasn't going to be possible. I went into the zip for the pvr addon and renamed libpvr.stalker.so to libpvr.stalker1.so and went into the addon.xml file and changed the name there as well. Then pushed the updated addon zip to my fire stick and reinstalled the addon. Rebooted the fire stick and now my channels load. I wish there was an easy way to just clear out the old lib file from /data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/lib but I think without root access it's not possible.

What version of the addon are you trying to use? 0.8.0 will only work with v15, won't work with 14.2. Since you're getting a DLL error I'm assuming you're using kodi on windows. If you're trying to use version 0.8.0 it's not going to work on 14.2. Download this version of the addon.

its time to upgrade to 15 and install 0.8 if you want to use pvr.stalker. if you really must stick with 14.2 go with iptv stalker instead.

Are you running Kodi from internal storage or external storage? I vaguely remember people getting an error if they try running from an external sd card or external drive and not running from internal storage.

Try turning off Live TV, reset the pvr and guide, then enable Live TV. If that doesn't work, check your settings, and if that's ok and your still not up, you may need to uninstall/reinstall. The PVR Stalker client for 14.2 is no longer of interest to the developer, if you don't want to update to Kodi 15.0 beta, better to just wait and use IPTV Stalker.

OK im gonna get drastic here got everything working great on my windows boxs but my droid Just will not take it I downloaded the mod version of kodi and still did not take it so since all I use the box for is kodi I am going to do a complete factory reset on it and see if it works let us hope for the best lol
