Hi, i notice that not all channels appear with the new version of stalker add on, the new list show 413 channels, and in Kodi just load 392, not a complain, this version load now some of the adult channels, not supported before, but still missing some channels, just curious about why is this happening.
Under System settings goto live TV Change Level Setting on the bottom of page to Advanced. Then go back to General setting and Select Use backend channel numbers(only works with 1 enabled PVR Add-on) restart kodi and should get all channels

Once the system goes fully live i hope the stalker client gets updated.

Also a Linux version would be nice for openelec.
As well a more advanced setup so users could add other streams and change channel lineups.

I'd Have to agree with K00lkat.. Opening the source of this type of thing isnt a good idea, the guys running the servers wouldn't like it and would likely implement countermeasures or even switch to a new platform.

ITs safe to assume that you will see more updates. I don't think when the server goes fully live we will have any issues.

support for other platforms is not out of the question, but I would not expect it until all of the major bugs are gone and all planned features have been implemented.

The Idea of connecting to multiple servers is interesting, however all of the servers out there currently basically have the same channel lineups, so it would be a waste of money to pay for more than one, just for 1 or 2 missing channels somer guys just must have.

Now to the bad news, switched it to my premium package and I cannot get one channel to load. They all say failed stream but I the channels work from comments of others who have the same premium package I have

Hi U all,
I installed the modded Kodi[with stalker] on two different devices:
1.On my new Xperia z3-works!
2.On my old tronsmart mk 908 II[finless bob rom 1.6].Kinda works.Aka only the Romanian ch. are working....is there something special with these streams?
I updated librtmp.so file....still ony romanian channels are working.
Any ideas??

unsure why you are having issues on your mk908.. could be your Kodi install, or your ROM. I have no issues on a CS918 which uses the same chipset.. The current version does have issues with missing, or unable to play certain channels, which is likely to be resolved in the next version. You should be able to watch much more than the romanian channels though.

channel quality / Aspect / 5.1 audio is not limited by the plugin. That is simply what the server is broadcasting. The plugin itself works just fine with HD streams with 5.1 audio. as Kodi can handle nearly any type of stream. In layman's terms The plugin doesn't play the stream, Kodi Does, the plugin merely tells Kodi what/where to play it from.

Kodi, and to stay on topic, Stalker plugin run just fine on my CS918. I had an mk808 before and finless roms were always flakey for me. try a stock rom and dont overclock, the device will more likely perform as it was meant to.

I personally do not test on 'alpha' releases, when the current release is just fine, and there is no added value in the new release, especially Kodi. Too many add-ons break because they haven't yet been updated to the latest development build. That said, I've read that some may have gotten it to work, but your have to answer Dirty Harry's question... "Do you feel lucky....?"

I know this is only a test/temporary, but i still save the channels to my epg.. but the channels are always changing, as more channels are being added to the list (when i leave & come back home & turn on the guide, HBO channel will be something else, like for a example cinemax).. how can i lock the channels to my guide, without them changing? I'd love to know as well. I've been wanting to figure out what the minimal requirements are to spoof a Mag unit just enough to get a channel list and make my own EPG. I changed Mac address, User Agent, X-User-Agent, set some cookies, but the service I tried still detected me as an unsupported device.

Then I setup Android emulator and tried to inspect the packets which sorta worked, I pulled a partial channel list, but all the XMLTV IDs were empty, so I mapped a bunch manually.

Wonder if you people here already have a way to do this and all that was a waste :).
Now I'm about to try this piugin, will it save channels to my Kodi setup so I can pull them that way? Anyone have a suggestion for what I am trying to do?
Well looks like I can get a channel list from the Kodi database files as I hoped, cool.

EDIT2: Looks like a few dozen channels are missing when compared to a Mag box.

Hi, new guy here, and new to iptv. Took a little bit of time but I finally got everything set up on my firetv and it is working great! Few of the first channels don't load up, but I'm sure the stream is down. Only problem I have noticed on my firetv is that when I click one of the channels the video doesn't pop up. On the top left it says something along the lines of "Ends at 4:15am", but to get the video going I have to click the channel one more time. I don't mind it, just thought I would post my findings here. Also, is there a maintainer of this plugin? And if so, where can we send donations?

There is no modified Kodi install for the PC that includes the Stalker PVR. The Stalker client is installed through the zip file on post #1 (x86). You can install Kodi with the client pre-installed through the 'coded' links on post #1 for Android which will download a .apk

The missing channels are porn only. The reason they aren't being seen may be due to the way they are configured at the server, as the issue also occurs for the Avov boxes. If you want to see them, try the STBemu.

What operating system? Kodi for Windows is a 32 bit app that can run on 64 bit Windows. I run Windows 8.1 64bit, and can't get those missing channels.

It doesn't matter if you run the stalker kodi on a pc or an Android box those channels and the new added channels after some point they will not work for you unless if you run the emu.
Install the emu on your Android box and all the channels will work for you.

OK so pvr.stalker.client-win32 will never bring in the missing channel within kodi on a PC. You must be running an Emulator on the PC and install the app within that?

Its anyones guess really.. I would assume the free trial would continue until the freezing issue has been resolved and the EPG has been added.. 600 channels is nice, but annoying if you dont know whats on any of them..

When the server goes paid I am hopeful that this plugin will work just fine. A workaround has been found (its not released) and is working great with all of the paid servers in testing. Personally, Im hoping dvbken will be able to incorporate the workaround into the plugin itself, i think it can, but am unsure if thats possible to be honest. I know your all curious now but ill say this, It does not work with the current public release of the plugin, and it is not ready to be released to the public anyways, so you will have to wait and see.

Regarding the missing channels, I don't know if it's a 32bit/64bit issue but I can say that the server response itself is missing the channels, and they are missing for me whether I use this Kodi plugin or STBemu on Android tablet, Andydroid, and Bluestacks. I just now captured the data for an actual Mag254:

IPTV the channels you are referring to exist and work on the STBemu for me here and I would it should be the same for you, but the new channels will not work on the stalker with kodi due to the incompatibility on the stalker.

I had 485 channels now 507 on all devices: Android phone, 2 desktops 64& 34 bit Win 7, and Laptop Win 8 64. I had every channel everyone else had in the beginning. I wanna say 3 weeks ago on my laptop, which i test everything on, now as stated by date those channels are gone. I haven't messed with my laptop since I first tested this. Sorry for the confusion, but Yeah the PC wont get certain channels (mainly the porn) which I don't need, but at the moment I do get some of the new channels; such as Movies 1-17 on all 4 Devices I mentioned. It's good to keep everyone on the same page to avoid confusion... Thanks all...

Thumbs up for the software and the detail info on setting up. I installed stalker and it works great movies, US channels everything that I needed thank you. I am reading through the posts and up to pg 20. Is there a way to get the epg to show I cannot get details or any info on the channels other than the name of the channel also can I make different groups instead of all groups This is in no way any complain about the software I love it. You guys here are the experts and everyone have different tricks to make things work. Thanks in advance for your responses .

finally got around to setting up stalker client on Windows 7. tested it on 4 versions of Kodi. it works on 14.1/14.2. does not work on kodi alpha 15 alpha1/2

If still no go just go ahead disable live tv then exit kodi then again go in and enable it once again.

chris uninstall your existing version of kodi on your Android box and try to install it from post one the modified version of kodi, it works very good and you will not get this error anymore. you can back up your existing one and then restore on the modified version.

I have a Amazon Tv fire box running kodi 14.1. not all channels are working within the stalker client.... so if it is there, and it says fail to get stream url, then the channel is either down, or not working with the stalker client at this moment

I have Kodi in my iMac and I try downloading the Windows zip file with Parallels, should i download kodi in parallels ?

okay, now i am having problems configuring MAC, i did follow some advise from the beginning and doesn't seem to be working for me, I CMD the Parallals window and the the mac and i can also see the mac in Kodi too and its the same, so i used the last 6 and won't connect, it keeps saying unable to connect, what am i doing wrong now?

I have Kodi with Stalker client installed on my Amazon Fire TV. Yesterday I was testing and found an issue with cache, which I don't know if it's Kodi related, or Stalker client's, or AFTV's.
When I start Kodi, and start watching any of NFPS channel, I can watch it with no buffering for as long as I want. But if I change the channel, I get buffering every 10 seconds or so. If I clear the cache, then I can watch any channel again without buffering.

Do a search in this thread for my post on making a change to the advanced settings for PVR cache, vs. network cache. It might help, it will delay the start of viewing when you change the channel, but it shouldn't buffer as much.

Desktop PC with win 8.1, Kodi 14.2, Latest stalker configured with amended MAC and iptv address

Newbie at this but reasonably savvy. Seemed simple load Kodi, install stalker. Did that but here's my problem and I'm stuck.

Error message "None of the connected PVR backends supports scanning for channels"

Also I've read about necessity to have an emulator installed, what's that.

Appreciate any help from those who have this running this on a Windows PC. Am I obviously missing some step?

You don't need the STBemu at this point. The message is expected if you attempt a scan from the menu. You may have multiple clients enabled initially, so first disable LiveTV, restart Kodi, enable LiveTV, and it should request you to enable a PVR client from a list, then enable Stalker client. You should see Kodi load up channels and attempt to load EPG data even if it doesn't exist.

The Stalker Client PVR addon is constantly Writing to my Kodi.Log.
The file become quite large unless I reboot the system. (or Manually remove it)

That's up to the author, but I'm sure that NFPS or anyone trying to sell a paid service wouldn't like it, especially those that maybe 'home grown' as those would be cloned by others and packaged as their own.

Im not sure what your talking about here... I don't think his plugin is causing this message, directly anyways.. it sounds like you have another plugin triggering this message... try from a virgin Kodi install , or use one of the APK's found in the first post that have the plugin pre installed.

there is no real reason you should (make it the same as the device you are using)... the servers do not care or look up the MAC of your internet connection... someone just made that up as its an easy way for people to randomize numbers.. but truth is you can just make it up in your head... it may confuse people (point in case) to instruct people to do this.. Make up one Mac. and stick with it.. if it doesn't work, or does but you keep getting disconnected, someone else is using the same mac, change yours, even by one digit to resolve this.

You don't need the STBemu at this point. The message is expected if you attempt a scan from the menu. You may have multiple clients enabled initially, so first disable LiveTV, restart Kodi, enable LiveTV, and it should request you to enable a PVR client from a list, then enable Stalker client. You should see Kodi load up channels and attempt to load EPG data even if it doesn't exist.

Followed your advice. Sad to say still getting the same error.

Finally got it working. After repeated attempts I did the following 2 changes.

1. Un-installed Stalker, re-downloaded Stalker zip, reinstalled Stalker

2. Changed the MAC by using the following FIRST 3 digits which I got from a post 00:1A:79: followed by the 3 digits from my actual MAC

It worked instantly. Don't know why it works but am happy that it is.

I don't get NFPS's deal with the plugin, Sure STB emu works solid, kinda sorta with the help of other media players , but its GUI looks that of a first gen FTA box, compared to kodi's fully skinnable (and current) interface.. Once they start populating EPG data on NFPS i don't see anyone sticking with STB emu, itll be 100X better with the plugin...

You can select a channel as a favourite then link it as you would any other channel that you would on OnTapp or FTV Guide. It works, but if channels move around in their position on the stalker pvr list, you may have to relink. Don't expect to have a custom addons.ini to be handed out to you on a silver platter for Stalker.

By the way, the PVR reset does also force a selection of the Stalker Client as well. Depending on how long you have Kodi up, you can grow your Kodi.log to a point where it may no longer fit on your storage, so that's a reason to turn off Kodi if you have the Stalker Client enabled, and not using it.

It may not be that the processor is not supported, but possibly the OS (Lollipop) may not be nice with it, or you have file/directory permission issues. Try downloading the add-on again, to rule out corruption on the dl, and reinstall. If that still doesn't work, try using the modified apk for Kodi, as described in post #1, however you will need to uninstall your current Kodi first.

Well, at least the channel count matches my STBemu. Biggest issue still is a missing EPG, as well as how users will be able to enter their access codes, same as the emu. I suspect that non-working channels are an issue with the lack of certain codecs in Kodi, not the add-on.

I found that simultaneous Multiple servers is also possible through a simple mod (make a copy of the pvr.stalker.plugin folder and append a number or something to it) also edit the addon.xml lines as below .

Lol the device is fine, that has nothing to do with anything, it's still one of the best boxes around.

Running issengard 15 nightly build now, receiving unknown error now. Failing on another steamos / Alienware system as well now.

Seems arm works fine in Linux but the x86 architecture doesn't work at all yet.
Hopefully someone can create x86 support off the source!

we are talking about atv1 on Ubuntu, it does 1080p fine. why else would you need something faster if all you do is use it for kodi. there are not many other boxes for the price that have the ability to add a multi terabyte internal drive, especially at 40-50 bucks. the only thing better would be a rooted quad core. but you are right the atv2 720p limit sucks. best for its price range, never said it was the best. the best is obviously an intel nuc / apple mac mini i5/i7.

anyway there is nothing wrong with box, its very much supported, there is no reason to upgrade. back on topic.

I install Linux-arm-helix built on Codesnake OpenElec Kodi 14.1 M8, but cannot get it to load up any channels. Changed the last 6- digits of the MAC address numerous times, yet no go.

Tronsmart Meta with RK3288 Chip running latest factory firmware, KitKat 4.4.2,

The "Baked in" version(stalker 0.5) with Kodi 14.1 is the only way I can run stalker, but it's based on Kodi 14.1 & it won't allow me to update to later version. I want to run Kodi 14.2 as this newer version has HDMI pass through working for Android. My Preferred Kodi Version is Latest release "SPMC" by koying.

Anyone have success loading on a similar setup to mine ?

Ok here is my finding result for the new version of the stalker:
1-on Android based device it will work only if you are on kodi 14.1
2-on Android based device it will not work if you are kodi versions 14.2 , 15.0
3-on pc woks good any versions of kodi
I hope maybe the author of the stalker will read my post and consider the appropriate modifications on the new version of the stalker to become functional on the Android based device kodi 14.2 and up.

I was wondering is there a way to manually edit the channel list? I wanted to get rid of all of the foreign channels. I tried in channel manager but it says its not supported. Might just be doing it wrong?

I don't get that on Confluence. If I were you, try that to see if the logos are screwed up there.

Kalrez. Try unzipping the plugin and moving the folder to your addons folder.


I've tried it that way still no go. Also tried placing the libKodi_Stalker_Client.so directly in Android System files where other .SO & >DLL files are located.

OK -- I am having an issue with the new stalker addon, I hope someone can help

This is a Win 7 x64 platform

I had everything working, even the upgrade to the new stalker 0.62. on Helix 14.2 -- but I was irritated because no matter how I shut down Kodi, the process would never end, unless I went into Win task mgr and killed it. SO I got the bright idea to wipe it all from my system -- included the shared and saved folders. and rebooted.

I installed kodi helix 14.2, and then the new stalker 0.62. Set the MAC and server. Got the error that Stalker couldn't load channels. So I fiddled with the mac 4 or 5 times, and no luck... still wouldn't load channels. I uninstalled stalker 0.62, closed and reopened kodi and tried again -- same issue

So I uninstalled stalker 0.62, and installed stalker 0.5. It worked OK. I didn't get any error, and the channels loaded and I tested the channels -- OK (so we know my MAC & server address are correct)

Now I added the stalker 0.62 again -- and I get the same error -- can't load channels.

any ideas?

Try clicking on Defaults on the configuration page, then enter the server and mac info. I'd also reset the PVR database after uninstalling 0.5 and then reinstall 0.6 I don't know if that would fix anything, but it might clear out data junk from the PVR.

First go into settings > TV> General (Advanced) and enable backend channel numbers
then go to your channel list and , highlight channel- press c - choose hide.

Asw far as the channel icons, they are of low quality coming from the server. you could try a different skin (try eminence)..

Hmm.. Just tried and when I press c the only option I get is move.
I changed skins thinking that would help, and even on confluence no hide option


EDIT:

Nevermind, found a different spot that works.
In Group management you can hide the channels you want.

Need some help please for the new 06 stalker in pc 7 first i go to stalker uninstall 05 reset data in live tv turn kodi off
try to install 06 and it tells me addon structure not supported if i re install 05 it s all configured and fine I think i missing
something here or i dont have the pc 7/64 version of 06 I am running the modified version of kodi from page one
