You made a request for channels from the author of the addin, previously. The author has no control over what channels are offered by the server. Asking for channels while the server is being tested is also pointless, we get what they make available.

Your request should have need submitted to the server people which in this case is the NFPS and not to the author of the Add-ons as who has nothing to do with adding or removing channels.
Hopefully this will shed more light for you on this matter.

Just went to watch some TV with Stalker and the New York channels, ABC, CBS, and Fox are out, all others are working though. Anyone else not able to get these to work?

I installed kodi 14.2(It says its Helix 14.1, but its version says 14.2. Is this the proper version ? (only win file available at download site).
I followed instructions. When I startup kodi, I get "Stalker client startup failed"

Where did you get the kodi version you have installed, if it's not from post one then it will not work for you, in this case just go ahead and uninstall it completely and reinstall it from the modified version link in post one.

Just noticed that the newly added password protected channels don't work with the add-on, but works fine for the emulator. My guess is the password is hardcoded in the add-on, so the add-on probably will need an update to see those channels. Please let me know if you do get those new channels without modifying your setup from "0.5".

Yah that is true the new channels are not playable on the stalker while everything works like a champ on the emulator, I agree with you Dara looks like the author has to step in here.

Thanks for the reply. I've been using XBMC/Kodi for a VERY long time and would rather not uninstall it and lose all the customization I've put in to using it, not to mention my media library and plugins etc.
Is there some specific change thats been made to the configuration of KODI that I could change on my own to make it function the same as the modified version?

edit: I just re-read the first post. those are apks for android and seem to be to fix a specific DLL issue. Thats not my issue, and I'm using windows so I don't believe that would help.

Yes sir, it is a modified version, I heard ya, I am in the same boat just like you been playing with this toy for long time since I was allowed to post video on beta, so what I did is it took me only 2 minutes to back up everything using the program USB-SDCARD WIZARD on a USB drive and then I uninstalled the old one followed by installing the modified version.

It's the same way you back it up from the existing then you restore it from the same source either from a created file on your pc or from a USB drive. That is what I did with mine, I was running the latest version with a ton of things and Greek stuff.....etc, and I restored them back to the version in post one which works like a champ for the iptv ps.

I'd hate to blow up my setup when its working for me otherwise, but sometimes it maybe worth the effort to do a clean up just to get rid of crap that you don't really need. Saying that, because the system is not yet 'for pay and live', and that the stalker client is not yet up against that production service, if you can't get the add-on to work, try emulation. Before that, I'd check to see if any other PVR client works on your Kodi, if only to rule out the possibility that the PVR functions didn't get installed properly on the conversion from 13.x to 14.x, or do an overlay re-install of Kodi 14.x.

Well then just follow post 1 step by step and install the from zip for Win32 if still no go then uninstall the latest version and go to the kodi site and download version 14.1 and try again.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling stalker? I had the same issue at first and I have no clue what was wrong but after uninstalling it and reinstalling it works great.

The problem I had was that I was only adding the last 3 set of numbers from my mac and nothing else. Got it to working by keeping the first part of what was there and adding my 3 sets where the :00:00:00 was. Also, if you have other pvr clients installed, you have to disable them. Worked for me.

an .apk file is not a compressed file. You don't need to unpack it (extract it).
The .zip or .rar files are the compressed ones. The .apk file will be packed inside that .zip or .rar file.

Winzip, Winrar are good extractors. There might be a copy of one of those in our Computer forum area.

Looks like the author of the Add-on of the stalker on kodi has some work to do here.

toyz the new channels work flawless on the emulator for testing if you are interested to try them out.

Thanks Fatsaycat, I got it working on a different machine (same operating system, Windows 7) but I only changed the last Mac digit to "1" (advice from a different forum) not sure why, but that worked, and I haven't messed with it since to try to see what else works.
I do get a lot of channels down, but many work.
I know this will be pay to play at some point, and when I look at future paid services needs, it will be considered based on what I see so far.

I tried wireless and with Ethernet connection and no results.

In the stalker of the kodi you need to add only 2 things:

1- is the url , make sure you it the right way and no typo
2- keep changing the last 6 number on the mac until it connects.
Are installing it on Windows ? if yes then make sure you are grabbing the right version but also more steps needed to be perform as it was mentioned in post one which you need to go to that file to delete something as it was mentioned in post one.

Don't lose your patience, it's a piece of cake just keep going after it, don't give up.

The thread is about an add-on for the Kodi media center to access the Stalker Server run by NFPS (and others). There are other threads that discuss an emulator called IPTV STB Emulator that can run on it's own to access the Stalker Server. You can look in the "Other STB" forum for a discussion thread generic to Android, or your particular box, if listed, for that app. The only android box known that needs a customized emulator is the MyGica.

I tried different ways.
The only one that worked was to put the file on usb and install from there.
I configure it w/t the last six #s of my mac and used the server`s addy.
It shows about 234 channels but nothing on the top 7 work.
The rest of them are hit and miss.

What version of Kodi and operating system are you running? If you got Kodi from a development build, like 15.0 or 14.2, the PVR may not work. Try to see if some other PVR client can work for you , like the "Simple", using a local .m3u list.

Performed that, unable to load channels..
I have (http://1.iptvprivateserver.tv) as my server address and got the Mac address corrected using last 6 of my devices address

Using the same one on 1st page.. I'm using an Amazon Fire TV Stick, not sure how I'd get the Mac via ipconfig (I do know how to operate cmd tho, just never got any display of the Mac address for my device).. I got my Mac from kodi which displayed the last 6 max for the aftv stick.. If that made sense.

I think he was answering mine, but for mbrewer, if MyGica boxes have issues with the stock emulator, they might have the same issue with the add-on. I think he should try to use the modified Kodi install to see if it works there.

Kodi latest version will not work for your Android box, use instead the modified version from post one for your Android box.

Is there a known reason for this or a limitation of tha addon? Can or will this be like that all the time or will there be a future solution in order to get all available channels?
Also, if the number of free channels is increasing on the server, will it be automatically reflected in the addon when starting Kodi?

Sure, same case on my side since as you know the server is still under the trial stage status so basically they are updating channels constantly, but definitely more channels should work for you with the emulator than the stalker since the new channels don't work with the stalker due to the incompatibility with the stalker and this happens only with the new channels. Remember though if you can run the emulator then you will get away with more up channels.

if you installed the mx player from the play store and you can see it in bluestacks, youre good to go

if some of the links still arent playing, they may be down, but make sure to get into the mx player settings and into the decoder settings, first 2 boxes under software decoder should be checked

Gabed, that is something you need for the mx player, the mx player will ask you to install it when you open the mx player the first time in order for the mx player to work the proper way.
Try to uninstall the mx player and reinstall it, when you open the first time it will expose a message which will tell you install the APK mx player and the version number take a note of this or just take a picture with your cell phone and then go to the play store or aptoide to grab it from there.

if you installed the mx player from the play store and you can see it in bluestacks, youre good to go

if some of the links still arent playing, they may be down, but make sure to get into the mx player settings and into the decoder settings, first 2 boxes under software decoder should be checked

Sure make sure in decoder setting in mx player you check the options for S/W+.

Also very important you do this:
open the emulator then hit on the top right corner where you see the three dots on the top of each other and choose as of your mx player for your external player.

Probably I am dumb, but I do not see the 3 dots: When I start bluestacks I don't see the dots and when I run Kodi in the emulator, it starts full screen and there are no dots :confused: :)

Guys I really appreciate all your patience in explain me stuff: my level of competence is equal to zero. I run a windows machine, and I installed bluestacks because DarkSide told me that channels like Rai1 and Rai3 (Italian channels) work on the emulator. When I run Bluetacks it opens a new shell with an android application player. I installed Kodi in it, but I still can't watch those channels. Honestly, I think I am missing a piece: I thought that buestacks is the emulator. So at this point I think I will give up, I will just use Kodi on my pc and will watch only what I can hoping in a future update of the stalker pvr client

Is it just me are almost all the channels down? I got 1 channel to work so far and the rest say "working" with the loading icon then it stops and don't play.

Edit: Some others play but almost none of the US ones don't play for me.

The Stalker oddon is for Kodi. Bluestacks,mx player and stb emulator are a different set up completely.

Server work going on with the adult channels. I noticed that some of the channels that didn't work before did, and those that did aren't showing up on the PVR list. The only constant seems that the IPTV STB Emulator continues to bring in channels consistently, but the Stalker PVR client does have consistency issue with recent changes.

Sure, that's a possibility, but its also a possibility that they don't want the emulator around either. There is incentive to keep the streams somewhat difficult to copy, however leaving off a portion of the market in favor of the mag and avov boxes isn't good business.

i do agree that they probably don't like the plguin ver at nfps (as they will not allow talk of it on their site). i don't think the are trying anything "new" per se to break the plugin intentionally... they likely just changed something small that happened to break plugin.. remember, when the plugin came out, it did not have the porn channels either, because they were locked, so dvbken had to code a workaround for them.. Im just speculating too of course. I do know that the plugin will be updated rest assured. dvbken has a life though and is not constantly working on updating the plugin every day, so i wouldnt be expecting updates right away whenever something gets broken, itll be on his schedule, and rightly so.

as far as the emulator and mag250, i don't see them moving away from that, its what all the other pirates are using, forcing everyone into a new box wont go over well with the community, unless there are great benefits for the end users. and i thought the emulator was made by the creators of the mag250 to run on their mag260 box was it not?

I would think the 14 channel you are missing are the 14 'NEW' xxx channels.

The 0.5 PVR client must have code in it which enters the pin code to unlock the 4 xxx channels which were there before these 14 'NEW' ones were added..... so the PVR client will need updating to show these new ones.

The think I don't understand is why they cannot enter the channels name, if you can type 'sports 8' for example you have time to type 'sky sports 1' , hopefully when the channels are all added they can go back and update this, anyway that off topic....

I hope they are just setting placeholders. If I were the developer, I'd probably wait out the volatility as new channels were being added, too, before releasing an update.

Did a trace, you should see 268 channels on the kodi pvr addon as that's all that the server returns when asked 'get all channels' see below

Emulator is working for me, but not on all channels (normal in testing). Look for the thread on the Emulator in "Other STB Boxes". As far as the "Failed to get stream URL", I see that too, the client may not recognize the info from the server as a valid stream, in some cases the emulator is fine with the stream, but Kodi is not. It could be a codec issue on Kodi, I'm not sure if there is an easy fix to that yet.

I wonder how to update the channel list on my mag254 there are 299 channels but in Kodi there are 282.
Also I can receive signal for almost every channel but for the last couple of days the 5 TSN channels don't come in they were working a few days ago it says failed to get stream URL. The TSN channels work on the Mag254.

Currently working on porting pvr.stalker.client-win32-0.5.zip's Kodi_Stalker_Client_win32.dll from Borland Delphi to delphi python. Not sure how long it will take but once ported it should work with openelec / crystalbuntu / osmc linux. I will also include a login and password area, if this does eventually go to a protected system.

I'm noticing no significant differences in using the stable Kodi 14.2 with the PVR client, so its probably safe to update your Kodi.

This might be helpful if you are seeing buffering issues with channels. This does increase the time for changing channels, though. The file is located in your Kodi addons location on your install, and if you need to ask where that is, you probably shouldn't do this.




If you have buffering issues / glitches on Live TV / Radio, you can try to increase

These are great questions, but are out of the scope of the thread. In short, the sources for many of the non-usa and non-latin-american channels are from sources imported or linked outside of iptvprivateserver. You won't get an answer on how this actually works back-end, as that info may compromise the service, and the actual providers of the source video work hard to shut down links.

Its was my mac address, I was following the instructions on soloman on youtube, and I see the error in his video. I should have been following the instructions on here, all the channels seem to work now.

I did the same thing...followed soloman's mac address and server on my 8.1 PC It worked for 20 minutes but then stopped. I've been farting around with my mac address and server name for hours... not really sure what I am doing wrong...any help?? The "TV" thing from the home page is now gone. After using this throughout the weekend, I thought I'd share it.

It's a very roughly implemented client for the stalker middleware api. Just enough effort was put into it to watch tv, so that I don't have to use the emulator or get a mag box prematurely.

Note-1: this is only available for windows and android at the moment.
Note-2: the current testing server is the only one I've tried with this. It should work with other stalker servers but it probably won't as I don't know of any others.
Note-3: the add-on may be unstable, so don't expect much of it.
Note-4: this is not an emulator. only the servers it's been tested with will work. pm me if you know of other stalker iptv services. I might look into them.
Note-5: tested on Kodi 14.1. should work on anything Kodi 14.x

Download the appropriate zip file:
win32 = windows
android-arm = phones and most boxes <- get this if you're not sure
android-x86 = intel based boxes

uninstall old version first
1. disable it
2. uninstall it
3. restart kodi

install
1. You can use the usual method of "Install from zip file" to install the addon
2. Enable live tv/pvr under Settings -> Live TV -> General
3. Enable the "Stalker Client" pvr add-on and set the MAC (see here (http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?1229-Use-this-MAC-Address-for-Your-STB-Emulator)) and server address like you would with the emulator
4. Restart Kodi and verify that that the addon is enabled. If it works for you, you should get something like this

A: I don't have any interest in VOD right now. also, there isn't a sensible subsection to list VOD under the TV section of kodi, so another addon may make more sense.

A: filesystem permissions may most likely be preventing kodi from loading the addon from the external storage. I did not have this problem with the nexus 5 (kitkat; stock; no-root), but the nexus player gave me this error. this seems to be so for lollipop. you can try the modified apk that includes the addon. see the bottom of this post.

troubleshoot
All I see is "Working...". What's wrong?
(1) the channel(s) is down
(2) the authentication expired or got invalidated. so, restart kodi
(3) someone else shares your creative mind and somehow uses the same mac address as you. thus (2) happens, so change the mac address and restart kodi
(4) you are using more than one device configured with the same mac address. this won't work. you have to use a different mac address for each device. otherwise one device will invalidate the other. again like (2). (the portal may be tracking IPs as well but idk)
(5) check that the stb emulator or your mag box is working. if that doesn't work, this won't either
(6) still no go? uninstall the addon. restart kodi. install it again
(7) some other weirdness is happening. in that case post your kodi.log on pastebin or similar and link it in your reply here

I'm trying to install it on kodi on my fire tv. Do I need to have some other program also running on the fire tv or my pc connected to the same network or I just have bad luck in getting things to work.

That is related to author who created the stalker not being compatible with the new channels.

the add on is working on most channels for me, great work. running kodi 14.2 on laptop with win7.
for the channels that don't work I get "stalker client failed to get stream url"
is there a fix for that?
btw, is there a way to block adult channels? I tried hiding the channels but the next time I open kodi they are all back

I believe everyone is seeing the "stalker client failed to get stream url", so its a bug that the author has to fix, or it could be that Kodi can't detect the stream url from the server, but picks up the channel anyway. As far as adult channels, not yet either, may be an issue that the author can address.

hawkv - totally a guess, but I would expect only windows and android versions until they are more stable before other platforms are supported.

ranaguir - I know he has shown interest in supporting paid subscriptions, unsure of any progress in that realm if any has been started yet, It would be safe to assume that it will be looked into as the free server is only going to be free for so long... but at the same time, who knows if the plugin will stop working once it goes paid-only, it may continue to work just fine.

I have not had issues hiding channels on the android versions, hidden channels survive reboots fine and even survive new channel updates... johoja - many of the new adult channels and other channels with generic names.. adult 1-xx, sports 1-xx..

Echofan- I just hid some adult channels and restarted the program and they remained hidden just fine.
Try going into Kodi>Settings >PVR (ensure advanced settings are enabled)
and enable "use backend channel numbers" and disable "sychronise channel groups", and "always use chanel order from backend".

Where is the 14.2 version on the first page it is just the 14.1 version.

The AVOV boxes apparently are doing the same thing of not showing all channels, so I suspect that the algorithm to detect channels probably needs to be fixed for both the PVR client and the AVOV. It also could be that there was a provisioning mistake on the server that prevents them from being seen by these two types of clients. The channels missing used to be seen before the massive add of channels.

Thanks so much this has been great! Tried this on Kodi 14.2 on my pc and it worked fantastic. I tried this on my G-box Q and "stalker client unable to start" is what I get. I used the Gbox MAC address. Should I use my routers or cable modems MAC address? I've triple check the rest. I used pvr.stalker.client-android-arm.0.5.zip like you suggest. I'll keep tweaking and see if I can get gbox to work. Still learning.

Reminder, for anyone with issues with installing/running the plugin on an android machine.. Try uninstalling Kodi alltogether and install this version with the plugin baked in

As far as your mac, only change the last 3 pairs of the hex address, whatever you want as long as its hex. it is recommended to leave the first 3 pairs in tact although I have never actually tested changing those digits to see if it actually matters, it probably depends on the server..

Loaded this up with the free 30 channel server and they worked perfect, thanks :)

Now to the bad news, switched it to my premium package and I cannot get one channel to load. They all say failed stream but I the channels work from comments of others who have the same premium package I have
