I posted links to major tv channel schedules in an effort to help readers determine schedules for stalker channels, not a m3u playlist. Great add on btw and thanks to whoever put in the work.

there is an an epg add-on called FTV guide for kodi which is covered in a forum at tvaddons. It currently works with FTV and USATV and evidently can be configured to work with other add ons. Someone by the handle goonierag posted some tools to customize FTV guide. I dont know if FTV guide can be used for Stalker but perhaps someone with more skills can figure it out. Do a google search ftv guide stuff for your own ftv guide to find the link.

There is a tv guide addon fro kodi that accepts xmltv files, its in its in the kodi repo under programs.. someone could build a custom xml grabber that could grab all the channel data for the current channels on the nfps test and wouldnt be that hard to update once created.. woudlnt be able to switch channels with the tv guide app but would at least be able to see whats on each chan ..

I could be wrong, but the FTV guide is only meant for "video" add-ons, that have predicable link locations, vs. a PVR client, that is getting served a link location. The other thing about the FTV guide is that it still needs a EPG source, and if there is an EPG source for the channels coming from the Stalker server, there wouldn't be a need for another add-on as the client would be able to show it.

You can use the FTV guide unmodified to see what may be up for shows, as long as they are from Filmon and USTVnow, but connecting that up with the PVR client would be a cludge.

There is also a version for desktop platforms (tested on Linux), which name is YASEM (Yet Another Stb EMulator). It's opensource and is under development now. You may get sources from GitHub. Keep in mind that this application may not work as it should, because it's on a very early stage and is full of bugs.

If the extension is still zip then there's no worries. Often when you install a program it changes the image for file types. You may have to right-click the file to extract if so, because some change the default program that opens them too.

the proper #'s, now i can not find it to re enable ( i dont know what it did ) were would i look for it i only have fusion on there

practicing with training wheels !!!! love the challenge though and the hobby !!!!

PVR clients are sometimes a bit tricky. If you initially can't reconnect, check to see if the service is on-line via the status thread reports so you don't spin your wheels wondering if it's your setup (Using the emulator also helps to see if the service may be down.) You may have to disable and enable the plug-in or live tv, or cycle Kodi to bring it back.

Hey to all here, I find that for m8 g-box and mx boxes the stalker client pvr addon work but for other boxes it give a dll error , I have try installing a fresh kodi but still get the dll error , just sharing what I have find out.

The Stalker Client PVR works good on the MX2 and M8 boxes that I've tested, but I get the dll error when installing it on a CS918... I tried it on a few of them.
Same results as Beckaline has.

kali - locked chans would be nice, but theres always pronhub.. i agree with the VOD.. there is no point in implementing it within kodi when one could just use the Genesis plugin.

The OP seems to be a quiet character, hopefully he is busy working on a new version.
I hope he can work on getting Authenticated servers working. - still willing to donate a account to him for testing purposes.
Would also be nice to enable support for external guide such as the xmltv format.
OSX support would also be fantastic.


not only does it work better than stb emu, it looks much better than it.. one thing that sucked about FTA is the boxes GUI's look to be a decade older than the providers current boxes, STB emu definitely followed this trend.

lightning413 created a keymap file that if you save as keyboard.xml or keymap.xml in your usersettings folder, it'll stop the fullscreen video when you press the back button. - Tested on Fire TV but should work on other devices.. you could always try to create this yourself by adding the keymap editor addon in kodi program addons.

Correct. I guess it's possible to do that later, but for now this addon is single purpose. Like the "simple" pvr client, someone cloned it so you can have a separate client with a different URL.

That's using the "simple pvr client". You can have multiple pvr clients, the question is whether this client can provide connections to multiple services or at the minimum save settings for multiple servers. If that is a real need, the stb emulator does that fine.

Just remember, the method of entering a donation/password has yet to be publically known, and isn't yet implemented in this addon.

I agree strongly with dara as alpha releases don't really have all the bugs worked out and are under design/programming. But also it may help the development of the version with the feedback we provide.

I can confirm that Android plugin works with 14.2 beta 1, you just need to manually install the plugin extract it to the addons folder and Delete Addons.db, then reboot. Then Enable PVR is Systems Menu, Also must go to Disable addons select pvr and enable Stalker pvr Must Change the Mac Address and put in The Iptv address in the server address.

Works as a bullet on an Android system, all you got to do is to load your kodi from the modified version in the first link instead of the regular file, although as it was pointed in the first post always back up you kodi first before installing the modified version.

If you got the error dll try the modified version and your problem will be solved.

This is working great on windows 8 PC with proper Mac address! I had a heck of a time getting it to work until like someone here mentioned doing an ipconfig/all and using the last 6 digits of my mac address and that did the trick. I look forward to testing and learning more as we go along hopefully begin to see more American channels along the way and kudos to all the great minds here. Have a great weekend!

I'm having issues with getting the tv option to display in kodi, along with connecting. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I maybe doing wrong? Here are the steps I've taken below:
* downloaded and installed the pvr.stalker client (arm) - running on fire tv
*configured the stalker pvr as follows
Mac Add: 00:1A:79:09:00:2D
Server Address: 1.iptvprivateserver.tv (without http://)
* Enable Live TV in the general section of KOBI - Version 14.1
*Restarted KOBI
* Did see the TV menu, so I thought maybe someone else has the same mac address. Well, I've altered it a number of times, still don't see the TV menu option,
*Set Kobi to launch TV Channels upon startup, needless to say, it's blank and I still don't have a tv menu item.
*Using the default skin for kodi

So for the only thing I have installed is fusion to gain access to genesis.

Did you make sure to enable pvr client in add ons? Also try to disable live tv then exit and turn kodi back on and enable live tv then exit and restart it if that don't work my guess is your MAC address is the problem.

After you install the modified version from post one install the stalker from the zipped file.

After using this throughout the weekend, I thought I'd share it.

It's a very roughly implemented client for the stalker middleware api. Just enough effort was put into it to watch tv, so that I don't have to use the emulator or get a mag box prematurely.

Note-1: this is only available for windows and android at the moment.
Note-2: the current testing server is the only one I've tried with this. It should work with other stalker servers but it probably won't as I don't know of any others.
Note-3: the add-on may be unstable, so don't expect much of it.
Note-4: this is not an emulator. only the servers it's been tested with will work. pm me if you know of other stalker iptv services. I might look into them.
Note-5: tested on Kodi 14.1. should work on anything Kodi 14.x

Download the appropriate zip file:
win32 = windows
android-arm = phones and most boxes <- get this if you're not sure
android-x86 = intel based boxes

regular installation
1. You can use the usual method of "Install from zip file" to install the addon

2. Enable live tv/pvr under Settings -> Live TV -> General

3. Enable the "Stalker Client" pvr add-on and set the MAC and server address like you would with the emulator:

A: filesystem permissions may most likely be preventing kodi from loading the addon from the external storage. I did not have this problem with the nexus 5 (kitkat; stock; no-root), but the nexus player gave me this error. this seems to be so for lollipop.
you can try the modified apk that includes the addon. you need to uninstall your current kodi install first (remember to backup your user data first so that you don't have to reconfigure from scratch)

I have been testing this add-on on a windows 7 pc & kodi v14.1 and it works awesome, however, I am trying to get it to work on an android tablet (ARM version) and am using with different MAC addy, everything runs great with kodi as far as all video add-ons, but when I run the live tv, select a channel, the sound begins with no video, then kodi craps out in about 10 seconds. Any ideas anyone?

Hi, all. I'm new to all of this and appreciate all your advice and helpful installation videos. I have a Window8.1 PC and just installed the latest Kodi version 14.2 Beta1. I tried several times to install and set up the stalker client pvr add-on, but could never get it to work. Even with enabling live TV and exiting in and out of Kodi several times, I could never get the TV menu item to appear on the Kodi start up screen. I was able to successfully add the PVR IPTV Simple client, and using the latest US m3u list, was able to get the TV menu to appear on the Kodi start up screen, and I have a list of 167 channels showing, but none of them seem to work. Any channel I click on gives me a message "working" that lasts about 2 seconds, and then nothing. Did I miss a step? Also, can I have more than 1 PVR client enabled? After getting the TV menu item to appear I went and re-enabled the stalker client, exited, and upon restarting the Kodi the TV menu item was not there. I've been using this forum and the latest YouTube installation videos I could find for advice.

MacA, I would verify your settings for the server, and make sure you modify only the last six digits of the MAC (you don't have to change all six, just stay between 0-9 and A-F). Also, there is no real need to test the Kodi beta for most, if you go with 14.1, you won't have a testing variable to worry about. With the simple client, you may want to test against an internet served .m3u, vs. one on your machine.

The server not being up or connected is the reason why some don't see the TV menu item. It's possible that your DNS can't resolve to the proper server, use a public one like Google "8.8.8.8" You can have more than 1 type of PVR client, you can't have two of the same exact client.

This file has to stay unzipped so you can load it to your kodi as install from zipped.

Thanks Dara and date, I ran the command prompt IP config and updated the MAC address for the stalker client with my correct last 6 digits and it works now, at least for some of the stations I have check so far.
I wasn't sure about the Kodi version I had either. I see now on the main page there is a download button stating the latest stable release is 14.1, but unfortunately the YouTube video I watched about installing Kodi showed it being downloaded from the Kodi/downloads page, and there, although the stable release is listed as 14.1, the Windows file link (which I used) is for 14.2-beta1. Not sure if it's worth uninstalling what I have to re-install as 14.1, as it took me most of the day to install and set up what I have running now.

The key reason you may not see "TV" or "Live TV" on your main menu is that you are not connected with the Stalker server. To fix:
1. Ensure your configuration is correct for the server - check the spelling of the server and that you have modified the MAC to change some of the last six hex-digits.
2. Ensure you have enabled the Stalker client enabled from the settings
3. Ensure you have Live TV enabled from the system settings

If those are set, try cycling Kodi, or the enabling settings. If you still can't see Live TV on the menu, check to see if the server is up. If you don't have the Stalker Client on your add-on list, you may not have actually installed it... so re-install. Last thing... try a different skin. Confluence and direct mods of it, like Hwy2015, or 7 icons is known to work.

None that I am aware of, I went through the whole list and I found channels from 37-47 might fit for your need.

I used Backup to backup my Kodi install. I chose the Backup folder in internal memory. I uninstalled Kodi and installed the modified version for Android. Stalker works fine after configuration, but I cannot Restore my backup. I just get a box that says Backup-Backup Folder Name.

The way we do it is we back it up to a usb drive but can't you just browse and find the file you saved your backup to. If you can't then just go ahead and install those repo from scratch, usually I have the main repos on my iphone note.

This is what I did. Might help some.

Disabled stalker addon.
Disabled live TV option in system
Shut down kodi
Restart kodi
Enable live tv
Brings you to disabled addons, re-enabled stalker and...
VoilÃ*!

Btw my mac is made up, doesn't match my machines Mac. Don't know why it would have to.

I have tried the trick of disabling Live TV and Stalker, restarting and then enabling Live TV and then Stalker, same results.

I did notice that when I look at the details of the Stalker add-on, it says v0.1? Not sure why, I downloaded the V0.5 from this site today, and this is my first install of Kodi and Stalker.

Anyway, I must be missing something!

hi , i wanted to test this while using an HTTP_PROXY .. but this addon seems to ignore xbmc proxy settings .. since it try to open the socket directly ..so keep in mind .. if you have one or if your isp use one ... u may have trouble getting this to work

I did not understand the post when I first read it. This is what I did.You need to copy and paste the link to your browser. You will not get the link if your browser is out of date. The link has kodi 14.1 with the stalker already installed on it. That is why they tell you to uninstall your current version of kodi and do a backup first. When you uninstall kodi make sure you use your android file browser and delete the kodi.org file before you install kodi. After installed just load your backup file and all your addons will be their.

Guys will the stalker client work with other IPTV panels. By panel I mean currently I can use NFPS and Rocket server as they are free in testing phase but can I try another private server who is providing IPTV service. I know someone who is selling the service. If it does work then what info I will need to get connected to that server, is it just the server address or something else besides that. Still new to all this and trying to learn how all this works.

Stalker work sometimes on windows PC. When you change Channels it fails and gives and error "Stalker Client failed to get stream URL" Reading the log it appears not to be able to parse the pvr files.

True, but the "Simple DVR Client" has a way to add a 3rd party EPG using an Internet link; I just saw a video with the procedure to add a EPG Link. However the Stalker DVR Client does not appear to have those available options.

Anyone know of a workaround while we wait for NFPS?

Could I go ahead and load the Simple DVR Client to make use of the EPG function? Or would that not work side-by-side with Stalker?

I think you can create login profiles for Kodi on a global basis. I don't mess with those as I just go "commando". I think we should wait until the service goes live before asking too much of the author.

best to use tvguide website for now you can set up custom listings for many of the US channels. This at least provides accurate listings of whats on stalker. Use favorites to set up custom list.

Hey robistro, that will probably come in the future of the testing period, but as of now, there isn't any program guide, you can look up on the internet though and see what is on on the channels, this will get you by until maybe a guide is added.

The addon only takes what is available from the server, so requests for certain channels are a non-flyer. The addon does not work on 13.x, I suspect that he won't retrofit the code. I'd just upgrade to 14.1, it is stable, and I doubt there are any worthwhile addons that will work only on 13.x and below.

I have a tvguide app downloaded on my cellphone for now. another question you or someone might be able to help with.....some channels do not load, is there a 'timeout' setting I can adjust so I dont have to wait longer than say 5-10 seconds for a channel to NOT load?

I reopened Kodi and pop with messaged displayed- Stalker Client startup failed.

I followed the guide at the beginning of the thread and I'm not at my machine to look, but I believe I used the Kodi IP address listed under system settings. I also have the fire tv and NOT the stick. Not sure if thats your issue or not.

The reason you may have to delete and install a different Kodi is because in some situations, the addon won't load due to internal permissions. Try installing the addon first before trying the modified Kodi apk.

Hey I had that happen to me on my Nexus 7 (the constant Working message). I fixed it by disabling MediaCodec acceleration from: System, Settings, Video, Acceleration

Why, did you enter your ps url the right way, keep changing the last three set of your Mac address until it works for you, use the last three set of your real Mac address on you device. Check BIO post for this.
